Spec on Loxodon Smiter?

Smiter is almost all the way down to a dollar rare. Its a 3 or 4 of in a lot of hatebears decks, and could have some potential in other modern builds. Any chance this thing could go up in the next year or 2?

Any other under the radar cards you guys are thinking of grabbing up? There's the obvious stuff like shocks, DRS, Abrupt Decay , etc. but what other cards do people think have a chance?

I know its all speculative at this point, but let's have some fun!

Lifebane Zombie looks fun in many formats...but only to mono-black players like myself who like creature builds.

Search the City , duh. So much value to that card.

Lifebane is a cool card. He's certainly dropped a lot, and probably will drop some more. I could see him rising back up to the $6-8 range at some point. I think he runs into the same problem in Modern that Nightveil Specter does, black just has better choices at the 3 spot. Lifebane has more potential as sideboard tech tho.

Personally I wouldn't be surprised if Supreme Verdict comes back around where it is now and Counterflux and Slaughter Games find places in some deck's sideboards.

Stop looking up the price. After a while, Loxodon Smiter is simultaneously valuable and worthless. Think of it as Schrodinger's Elephant Soldier.

Chandra, Pyromaster could go back up.

Scavenging Ooze is almost guaranteed to go up again considering it sees play as a 4 of in many decks.

Shivan Dragon is broken and will find it's way in modern.

Blood Baron of Vizkopa could see a rise if Jund gets more popular.

Domri Rade has potential.

Lotleth Troll is a fairly good card, though green/black has better options.

Rest in Peace is a great side card and has mainboard potential. I could see it going up a bit, but not too high.

Skarrg Goliath FTW. Easily $500+

Scavenging Ooze is another great card. I really like Lotleth Troll , but I also think B/G has better 2 drops. What about Voice of Resurgence ? Where do you see it going?

Voice of Resurgence has a spot in Melira Pod and Hatebears, it'll probably tick up as it settles in the secondary market, but not the $40 it was after PT Dragon's Maze.

InconspicuousPotato Would you mind going into a bit of detail why Skarrg Goliath would become such a pricey card?

Because it's just so OP. Just look at that Bloodrush ability!

@kmcree: As much as I love him, I think you're right about Lotleth Troll . He's fighting for the same slot in most decks with Scavenging Ooze , Dark Confidant , and Tarmogoyf . It's safe to say he'll be stuck at a dollar once he rotates out.

The only thing that will drive his price are casual zombie decks.
