Std underdog cards I think will/should go up post rotation

This is a rather large post on which cards, that are very cheap now, I think will or SHOULD rise a bit in price post rotation. These are all mainly cheap cards that I feel should rise to medium prices.

Setessan Tactics I love this card, so I put it first. It is one of the cheapest strive cards and In my opinion one of the most powerful. Sure your creatures can't have summoning sickness and sure they can't attack that turn but WHO CARES. If you have green in your deck you most likely already have some large creatures and a bunch of mana, now put those two together and call it a board wipe in GREEN. Plus it makes your Sylvan Caryatid s, Courser of Kruphix es, and Elvish Mystic s deadly to kill small creatures before they get big or something. I think it should be around 3.00 for a regular one and maybe 5.00 for a foil.

Polis Crusher This card was one that I, like many others, blew it off when you first see it. However, think of this, if enchantment creatures stay in a lot of decks or become more prevalent in the future this guy has a BA monstrosity of destroying target creature or Banishing Light and it has protection from a lot of creatures so long as they are enchantments. I would not say that he should be too much but definitely more than 47 cents maybe 5.00 if enchantment creatures are big, 3.00 if they are not super big.

Reaper of the Wilds This is a card that I am still on the fence of but I still like it. A 4 mana 4/5 is pretty solid by itself because it blocks many things; however, the more important thing is hexproof. 2 mana for hexproof is not bad and is very relevant against what I think is going to be a big black standard meta of kill spells and stuff. Granted at that point it is almost a 6 mana 4/5 hexproof buuuuttt still not bad at all in my opinion. Est. price maybe 4.00.

Almost every single temple (except Temple of Malady )This will be short because it is pretty self explanatory. All the temples are dirt cheap at like 3-5 dollars I think the range should go from 5-8 maybe 7-10 because they are very good cards. Standard seems like it is going to a very slow speed so coming in tapped is not that bad and scry is VERY valuable. Sure there is Mana Confluence and all the pain lands coming in but I still feel the temples deserve some love.

Thoughtseize Thoughtseize in my opinion is THE best card in standard. For example, think of your perfect opening hand one that curves out perfectly and gains you incredible tempo and board advantage........ok now I play thoughtseize take one of the best cards in your hand and screw that all up. It is incredibly strong and everyone knows it and I know that it is already 17ish dollars but I personally think it should be 20+.

These are all some cards that I was thinking of today and thought I would share my OPINIONS on what I think their prices should be. Do you agree? Disagree? Have another card you think should go up? Let me know and explain :) I love to hear opinions.

Just wanted to say that Temple of Enlightenment is about $7-8.

I wouldn't be surprised if Herald of Torment or Polukranos, World Eater took small hikes up.

Thoughtsieze will go up but for a variety of reasons including its use in modern and legacy. The scrylabds will go up slightly due to shocks leaving but I don't it depends on whether or not the rumor of fetches becomes true. Polis crusher would have already risen by now if you look at your reasoning and reaper of the wilds is just meh. It succeeds in the deck it is played in but doesn't have its own niche. I don't think reaper will go anywhere

@GoldGhost012 True that the U/W temple is also expensive just the majority are cheap and malady was the only one I thought of that was already at a high price. Also I agree with polukranos.....but I think herald is kind of where he should be right now but he is a good card so it wouldn't surprise me.

@julianjmoss I personally doubt fetches will come in this block at all but of course no one knows. Polis crusher is low becuse there are few enchantment creatures used in std right now the big ones being courser, maybe eidolon of blossoms, and herald of torment. So if they become more popular I think he could still go up. Reaper....eh I can kind of agree with you but I still think its a solid card, I dont really disagree but I think it COULD go up.

I pulled 2 Thoughtseize when I first started playing and still had not grasped the power in using life as a resource. Sold the pair for $16 and thought I was getting over on the person. shakes head sadly

Well, live and learn.

Thoughtseize will SPIKE! Okay, maybe not spike, but it will rise in value.

Stormbreath Dragon will also rise I think. It is strong enough to be played when RTR is still around. RTR is a really strong set, so Stormbreath Dragon will only be Stronger when the rotation comes :D (Unles WotC reprints 100 dragons.... :D)

Reaper of the Wilds ,Soldier of the Pantheon ,Prophet of Kruphix and Polis Crusher are cards that might see some play after rotation, as I believe.

Thoughtseize won't spike. It was good a few months ago and it's good now - but nothing has made it better. It's the same as it always was. Also a lot of the reason why it is so expensive is due to its usage in modern, which obviously won't be affected by the next set.

I agree so much with all of these! I think if I were to make a list it would be identical. I might add Eidolon of the Great Revel and maybe Boon Satyr though.

Maybe Eidolon of Countless Battles and Eidolon of Blossoms as well.

Oh and don't forget Rageblood Shaman and Pheres-Band Warchief . Tribal will win everything.

I also think Polis Crusher will go up. Sure, it's not the turn 4 play Polukranos, World Eater is, but it gets around all the enchantment creatures, a good 1/5 of which may see Standard play post-rotation. Plus, after monstrosity (easy to get in R/G), it basically gains unblockable and destroy creature against enchantment-heavy decks.

My own thoughts on cards that might spike post-rotation.

Arbor Colossus : If dragons become more playable in KoT, this guy will be a star. Really pushed P/T-wise. Just screams dragon-killer.

Prognostic Sphinx : Will fit into any control deck, and a prime planeswalker killer. Price is already creeping up according to TCGP.

Launch the Fleet : If armies are thematically/mechanically prominent in KoT, this and other strive cards like Setessan Tactics will appreciate.
