Stuff to hold on to

I'm looking through my trade binder and seeing some standard stuff I noticed being played when I was doing Modern last night. This got me thinking; what stuff should I probably hold onto for now?

Obviously Thoughtseize and fetches, that's a no-brainer. Kolaghan's Command, sure. But what about... say, Monastery Swiftspear? It's an uncommon from a widely opened set, but it seems like it'll still see play after that set rotates. Should I be hanging on to mine? Or say... gods (EDH appeal!), or Abzan stuff like Siege Rhino?

What cards from Theros/Tarkir standard are worth sitting on for now, is what I'm wondering.

Gods are, for the most part, held in good regard as pickups by a lot of people. Rhino is also a good keep, although if BFZ is battle cruiser-y it might get outclassed. That said, it's at least a $4 card, which is what it's at now.I have my eye on FrF and Dtk mythic that aren't currently seeing heavy play. Also looking at Sarkhan Dragon speaker since storm breath will be gone.

Makes sense. Especially the FRF thing; Ugin seems like he may be sticking around.

Thoughts on the Swiftspears?

Seems like a decent hold. Sees a modicum of modern and Legacy play. Even though it's three bucks you can still probably get it as throw-ins as well.

All things I was thinking of holding. Good to have other people back that idea, thanks.
