Sword of the Animist: To sell or not to sell? That is the question.

So I picked up my first Origins fat pack the other day and one of the packs had a minty-fresh Sword of the Animist. Even though I was really looking forward to having this card, there are other things I need to finish other decks that this card can go towards getting me.
However, I'm wondering whether it'll retain its $13ish price tag into the future, or whether it'll end up being another $2-4 foil rare in a few months. Anyone care to weigh in?

If you want my advice, sell it now. Imho, the card is WAY overhyped and I don't think it will live up to any expectations. Your choice, but I'd sell it for that cool $13 now.

Traded on pucatrade for 24.99$ equivalent during the prerelease
I'd sell/trade

The card is beast in edh, especially in Godo, Bandit Warlord. I think it'll hold value. Edh wants it in every nongreen, semi competitive deck.

It won't hold value. It's just not strong enough outside of EDH, and the newer the foil is, the less it's worth. You're better off trading/selling it for ~13.00 while you can

Everyone in my EDH playgroup is testing it out, and yes, foils are like crack-covered candy to the dedicated EDHer. Just yesterday I watched a guy trade away $50ish of modern affinity cards for some EDH foil playables, despite the huge price gap between the "normal" and foil card, and even though he had the regular non-foils already, because they "are so pretty!"

sell it, before all the edh players who want it have it and it'll never have this much demand again at least not for half a decade at least.

Sell it, it is a do nothing card. People are saying use it in EDH, but it is a casual EDH card so it won't retain value or increase. It'll just continue to trickle down as more and more Origins is opened.

This card does colorless mana ramp. In edh I could see this becoming a staple. Not quite Lightning Greaves level prices but I think it will retain some kind of value and seeing how we edh players love our foils I don't think it will drop. In fact it could quite possibly rise later on.
