Was looking at the Rebecca Guay Standard Showdown Lands as a possible long term investment. They're absolutely gorgeous lands that have declined in value but I feel like they could see a resurgence in the long run. Thoughts?
Another reason is because they really aren't that rare. The also sell them in some sealed product so they aren't just from showdown packs. Also in my opinion they just don't look like anything that great like nothing really special.

Here is my gut reaction to anything.
"If your gut tells you something, listen."
If you have the cash to get a few of these things and stash them away go for it. Odds are that their price will go up over time. Many many cards have gone from 1.00-3.00 cards to 10.00-20.00 cards in the relative short time that I have been around magic. if you think something will be good. Get you a stash and horde em. Even if they only go up a couple dollars a piece that is a huge profit margin, if you can spare the change, don't skip your car payment to go buy Unstable Lands but if you can spare the change buy whatever you want.

Hey I mean guay is one of the most popular artists in mtg, so its possible for it to end up being $$.

StardustDragon11/8vomit My thoughts exactly. I don't expect them to ever be 20 dollar cards but with the beautiful artwork, the stunning foiling and the fame of the artist I feel like EDH and legacy/vintage players could drive these to the 5 dollar range.

Although they are attractive, I'd be very surprised if they ever jump significantly in value. Full art is clearly preferred for basic lands, and they aren't distinguished as collectibles of the first of their kind, as the Arena - Urza's Saga promo foil lands are clearly preferred, so their collectibility is far more niche. If you want them based on look, then it's better off to get them and play them in my opinion. I don't see them as a long-term "buy" as a value investment. Then again, I'm wrong a lot - just ask my wife.
