Thoughtseize?

What do you guys see happening to Thoughtseize in the future? It's sitting at around $16 right now, and I'm fairly sure it's going to go up, but the question is by how much?

You have quite a bit of time to invest. If youre looking for long-term investment, buy them when they rotate. If you want them for standard, might as well buy them now. I don't see why they're so cheap, it must be all the noobs who don't like life loss, as well as the fact that its still in print. I think the highest you'll ever see it in standard will be around 22, and after rotation, it will go the way of the original printing. Up and up and up. How quickly it will rise is the question.

I'm picking up as many as I can. It's an amazing card. I have 1 foil and 3 other ones.

I have a playset at the moment, and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to withhold from trading them for now, with a view to a more long term investment. What do you guys think?

Yeah hold onto them for sure. You wanna have a big return post rotation.

Personally I'd hold them. I currently have 3 just sitting in my binder; trying to get a fourth.

They will still be in standard for a while, so if the right Opportunity presents itself trade them and get more.

I think it is going to go up when the next few sets come out. that "waste not" card is coming out in M15, so discard decks will be running around for a while. it will probably jump to 20-22, then drop slowly again

I'm sitting on 11 and trading for more when I can. I'll sell in 2-3 years probably. It's a card that can't lose you money.

I think this one has the potential to go very high, Mutavault being another reprint that promises to only go up. I don't think either will ever catch its predecessor though, the originals are usually always where the moneys is at. I'd say get them now or when they rotate, I dont see them dipping below $15 but that is just my humble opinion.

I mean it's used in every black deck, in many formats. It sees play so often that I don't think it will decrease much if at all.
That being said, I don't think it will shoot up all of a sudden. It's not going to change in price much until it is out of print, unless something very strange happens in Journey into Nyx, or m15, or something.
