What is up with Ugin going up 10 dollars in the past week. Is he going to hold his price through rotation? I know he sees play in GR Eldrazi, but what the hell.

Someone top 8'd the SCG Open with a deck running four Ugins. Therefore everyone must buy all the possible copies and build the deck.
To be serious though, he is absolutely fantastic in Modern and EDH. His price will drop, but I can't see him being lower than $20 in the long run. Fate Reforged wasn't as heavily opened as some other sets, and it has no high value cards other than Ugin, Monastery Mentor, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, and a lower than normal chance of fetchlands. So it wouldn't surprise me to see him do well.

People are just starting to realized how broken he is. A repeatable board-wipe and bolt attached to a walker with very high loyalty (not to mention the very attainable ult) is absolutely nuts.

Yeah I almost sold mine but then I had to remind myself how I still regret selling my Griselbrand to this day and so I kept the Ugin. It's a powerful card and will be for a long time.

yeah. It's a great card. Likely will be a 20 dollar card. The thing about Fate though is that since there is a chance at opening fetches, people WILL open frf once ktk runs out

I don't know if he'll stay that high, but certainly he'll always be loved in Commander, and be a consideration for modern decks like Tron. Exiling everything on the other side is something people like to do.
So I'm sure he won't become worthless.
