Upgrading dual lands

I just finished my collection of revised dual lands (can I get an amen!) And of course the next step is to bring them up to unlimited then beta then alpha. My biggest jump $ wise will be from unlimited to beta.
So for anyone that has tried trading up what did you do? Offer filler and a replacement seems to be the best method for my first jump but that near double jump in price from u to b is daunting.
Any help or advice is welcomed. Also if this is in the wrong forum, sorry, just move it to where it needs to be.
It's hard to get people who will trade high end reserve list cards for non reserve list cards.
Why would you want to upgrade the duals? Are you a collector? Just want the most expensive version? Just asking so I can understand your reasoning.
If just trying to get the "bling" effect while playing, you prob would want get stop at beta versions. As alpha cards are shaped slightly different.

It's for collecting purposes really. I will be using them so i won't need nm/lp, but that would be ideal. I was going to try and trade for them but I already have faced the struggle of non reserved card trading.
So my next option is to sell cards off and just buy the next tier card. I think that might be the easiest way to get to my goal, any thoughts on that?

I guess the best method is to find cheap offers on ebay and get multiple revised copies, then trade them personally against something more expensive. I only have some foreign bb duals which I bought like 10 years ago in one 5c commander deck and the rest is revised and unlimited, so I can't tell you if it really works to trade that way for beta duals.
