hello, all!
im thinking about buying 4 Voice of Resurgence 's, but, seeing as they're so expensive, i don't know if i should wait to see if they go down or not. your opinions?
I definitely don't see them going up in the near future. My guess is they will probably slowly slide downwards, but not by a lot. Maybe drop to $25ish. As far as post-rotation, they see some play in Modern, especially in Pod decks, but I'm not sure if it will be enough to hold a mid $20s value.

Looking at the price charts it's only been dropping since October. It will probably hold around $20-25 until rotation, and then it's up to Modern to determine its price.

I think rotation will deff see a short term drop, lots of people play g/w still and people who just have them incase of standard top viability who will dump. Long term itll go back up assuming no pod ban

Why is it so darn expensive? I love the card, don't get me wrong, but at least in my LGS it never sees play. Maybe its just not a thing over here?

partial price memory from when it was $60, its up to a 4 of in pod for modern, and its really good vs control or any deck casting spells on your turn

Good two drop mythic rare from a set that was barely opened. It'll hold and eventually start to gain value. Too good not to be played in modern for quite some time.

I want to pick some up as rotation happens for pod, I always wondered besides being mythic how it held value just being played in modern really these days. Deathrite Shaman, yes a rare, before it was banned in modern was a 4 of in legacy, modern but really never shot up especially compared to other rares like the reckoner and it's vastly better, tho over time it will slowly rise.

DRS was a rare, not mythic, and was opened a helluva a lot more in RTR than DGM was opened, while reckoner had standard demand, DRS didnt, notice how hes much more stable over time, even with modern ban, and reckoner fluctating wildly over the last 1.5 years

@mckin sorry I meant more comparable to past sets with rares whom have not seen as nearly as much play as deathrite yet during their time have been a much higher price even without seeing much play in standard, I do understand it's a mythic that's why I stated deathrite was a rare. Just saying past cards in situations similar with the exception of this seeing more play in other formats. Back to voice I believe it will go up slowly after rotation and be 40-50 in a few years.

What are you looking to buy them for? If its for standard, I don't really see their price dropping or even rising anytime before the rotation. The only way I see the price going down is if Magma Spray really catches on.
