Voice of Resurgence price

I have a Voice of Resurgence . Its average price is $23.54 on TCG, but the price graph shows that it's been gradually getting cheaper. I know it's played as a 4-of in Melira Pod, so what do you guys imagine will happen to its price when RTR rotates? Will it continue to drop?

It probably won't ever get back to $60 though. It's not Liliana of the Veil /Mox Opal good.

It's not going up to $60 unless future sets contain a card that breaks in in modern, legacy ETC. It sees play in modern, so I am holding onto them because I believe it will go a little higher post rotation

I'm hoping to see them at at least $40, as I bought my playset for a bit under that. Then again, I might build pod if I ever get the necessary fetchlands, so I might not sell them

Definitely not anywhere near $5. Out of print mythic that sees professional play even in Standard, it shouldn't drop below $20 really

It barely see's any play. It's a two of in one deck. There's barely any demand for it

There's enough demand for it, and pretty much any deck that runs it has a playset. It hasn't seen much play recently, but with the release of JOU, Ajani, Mentor of Heroes opens up new GW possibilities. There are quite a few GW aggro lists floating around

There's only one deck that plays it and that's melira pod and they only run 1 or 2...

I was talking about standard, sorry for the confusion. Pod is very popular and Voice of Resurgence is a powerful creature in the modern metagame, not to mention possibly in legacy. If it isn't seeing more play than in Pod now, it definitely will see play in other lists in the future. It's a pretty unique creature that fulfills many different roles, and is appropriately costed for the Modern environment. It will definitely go up past $25 some time soon after rotation, in my opinion

It's a powerful card but it has an awkward mana cost and there are way too many better creatures to be played in modern. It's only really played in pod because it leaves behind a token when you sac it and you can sac the token to get a 1 drop. It's too niche of a card to see much more play than it already is.

@ xlaleclx - Voice of Resurgence sees play as a set in Pod.

Lol no it doesn't. It's a 2 of in pretty much every list. Some lists it's a 1 of, some lists in a 3 of but it's pretty much never a 4 of.

You must like to argue, I think the point was it'll never ever ever ever see <$10 and if by the insane chance it does it won't sit at that price.

The only deck I've seen in Modern or Legacy that considers playing Voice of Resurgence as a four-of is Maverick. However, most of those decks aren't playing Voice of Resurgence anymore because of how badly they need graveyard hate now that Deathrite Shaman is banned. They've cut Voice of Resurgence for Scavenging Ooze . Legacy has the two-drop creature slot already filled to the brim with Gaddock Teeg , Thalia, Guardian of Thraben , and Stoneforge Mystic .
Birthing Pod
simply doesn't have the room to play four Voice of Resurgence
, not when lists are struggling to play four Kitchen Finks
.

As many have said, Voice of Resurgence sees fringe play in Legacy Maverick (widely considered a dead deck), and heavy play in Modern Birthing Pod decks. Kiki-Pod versions will generally run 2 Voice of Resurgence , while Melira Pod players will almost unanimously run 3. It's standard use is unknown to me, but I am aware that with MBD and Control occupying ~50% of the metagame and Boros Burn and Jund Monsters occupying big chunks, Voice isn't seeing a ton of standard play. It's price will stay around $10, possibly slightly lower.

as a pod player i agree this is only a 2 of , maybe 3rd in sideboard...and that's pretty consistent with other pod players i've spoken too. scavenging ooze has encroached on this slot.
that being said, voice is a mythic in a barely opened set, which sees play in junk decks too...so i dont see this dropping below 15.00.
and it's a beast in casual / kitchen table which drives the market more than professional play outside of standard... see cards like Avacyn, Angel of Hope

It's not in print anymore and if you're interested in making a Pod deck in the future, I suggest hanging on.
Might rise after it says bye bye to Standard, and if Pod keeps doing well.
