I trade my Khans Polluted Delta for a foil Kaalia of the Vast.

Good trade?

Since when was Kaalia of the Vast a foil? Damn, I might want one now...

Anyways, are you ever going to make a Kaalia EDH deck?

Considering Polluted Delta is worth 20 and foil Kaalia is worth $33 (if were not talking about the oversize one) yes. Foils usually hold there value even through reprints. :3

@miracleHat She received a foil printing for Commander's Arsenal

But considering Kaalia's median price for a foil is $33 I'd say it was a great trade

Isn't delta set to rise in the future though?

Yes, but that is after standard and even then its really a matter of how long do you want to wait and if they reprint ZEN fetchlands it will prevent them from rising too quickly. :3

Heck, I'd trade my regular Kaalia for a Delta. Nice trade

I'd say short term (6 months to a year) it was a great trade for you.

Long term (1year +) ~ who the hell knows. There's no way of telling now what will happen in MTG in the future. But basically you got a card you obviously wanted, for something you weren't all that attached to.

Seems like a good deal to me.

You definitely hit the nail on the head. Financially, it was a pretty good trade, as both Kaalia and Polluted Delta are set to rise, but fetch lands will likely not go above $40 each in a few years, when the ZEN fetches are reprinted.

Wizards is pretty conscious of cards that needed reprints, like fetchlands, but they don't pay much attention to EDH cards like Kaalia or Avacyn.

JexInfinite ~ I appreciate the affirmation. The economic side of MTG is still new for me as I've only in the last 2 years or so started really paying attention due to getting into the traders game. I've found it's a lot like the stock market. It's all in the trends.
