What are some Modern staples that aren't necessarily pricey, but just really, really hard to find?

There's quite a few modern cards I've been looking for to complete my decks that aren't that expensive, but are just simply hard to find. One is Disrupting Shoal, which I need for my RuG delver deck. Another is Elvish Champion , I can't find that one anywhere, and no one seems to have it to trade. What are some Modern cards you guys/girls have difficulty finding?
I've only managed to find a single Pestermite throughout multiple LGSs in Minnesota and Missouri in the past month. So at least from personal experience I'd have to say that's one.

Scavenging Ooze and Leatherback Baloth as it seems everyone either doesn't have them (checked multiple shops) or doesn't want to trade them (mostly with the scooze)

I guess this is probably not exactly "cheap", but took me a solid year of searching to track down the last Misty Rainforest I needed. Now I just need 2 tarns and I have full playsets of fetches!

Crucible of Worlds is a tough one for me to find. As are the Kaldra Equipment.

Yeah, gonna second Spellskite. Nobody who has them is willing to part with them. It sucks, because I really need one.

I know nobody plays Slivers but it took me 7 shops in 3 states to finally find Necrotic Sliver to put in the deck

ChiefBell I don't always want to buy all my cards. I got plenty of cards to trade and there are about 4 stores in my area with active players that also sell/buy/trade singles so I usually see buying things off the internet as a last resort.

Yeah, I do buy singles online. But I prefer the experience and occasional convenience of trading. Plus, no shipping fees that way.

Azusa is crucial to bloom titan, one of the better modern decks.

Try pucatrade! I've already offloaded about $1800 worth of cards and received an equal amount and I've only been playing magic since theros! Its a great way to trade up and it saves you a ton of money if you do it right! :)

I am starting to dislike Pucatrade for various reasons.

I haven't had any problems, especially since there's a 100% guarantee that you will either get your card or your points.

Not really true seuvius. For example, I only needed 2 more foil RTR shocks (Breeding Pool and Stomping Ground) to complete my 40 set. I added them to my want list (it's empty otherwise) and they sat there for 2 months without anyone shipping me the cards, and yes before you ask I had more than enough points for both of them. I hear of similar problems with cards like Snapcaster Mage and all of the ABUR duals. Basically Pucatrade is mostly used by pros who know what cards they should and should not be shipping out and they have bots that snap up nearly all of the standard sends before any normal trader can get to them.
Still, I did convert about 80 RTR non-foil duals into all but a couple of the foil editions, so I can't say it's all bad.

Yeah shocks and big cards can be hard to get, mainly because a ton of people want them at once although they are sent out alot. I just recently received a foil emrakul,2x snapcaster mage and a playset of wooded foothils so it is very possible but you do have to be patient. As for bots puca admitted that they did have problems with those a very long time ago but with the way its set up now its near impossible to bot.

Spellskite oddly enough and Mercy Killing but I guess Mercy killing isn't a real modern card.
