What is the most efficient way to sell my cards?

I'm trying to sell most of my cards and I'm curious if anybody on here has had any luck with selling? My LGS offers forty percent in cash. Places like TCGPlayer and Ebay both take between 8.5 - 13 percent of the total sale. If we add in all of the sales expenses such as shipping and other things that can really take a large chunk out of your profits. I am not really a fan of Pucatrade because I'm not 100% sold on the concept. If somebody can convince me otherwise I'll try it. I don't expect to make all of my money back, Id just like to replace some of the cards I'm never going to use with some cash. I'm just curious if anybody had any tips or pointer for how I can make the most money possible.

Sell singles if you want to make money back, and be prepared for it to take a while.
I believe Epochalyptik knows something about selling singles.

Your best bet for moving a bunch of cards is to go to a GP or another large Magic event. With a bunch of Magic dealers on hand all looking to buy product, their real reason to be there, you can quickly find the best buy prices.
Baring that, selling Magic cards is ultimately a time:money equation. The more time you put in the closer you're going to approach retail value, though accept that you rarely if ever will get that price. And that scale runs the line from dealing with local folks on Craigslist who will buy your cards for their own decks at near retail prices to just selling to an online buylist.

If you want to maximize the money you receive for each card, piecing out your collection individually is your best bet. If you want to sell the whole thing at once, price it out and try to get 55% to 60% of its value somewhere. Running an EBay auction is a very risky proposition, so I'd shop around online for vendors. Perhaps you can make a Google doc with your collection complete with condition and pics of your most valuable cards. You can email this to interested buyers, especially those from larger storefronts.
40% for your collection is a pretty lowball number. I'd try to do better if I were you. If you have the time, piecing out your collection could net you up to 100% of the value on the more sought-after cards if you sell to a private individual. It takes a lot more effort obviously. Assess your goals and act accordingly. Just don't settle for 40% is my advice.

My LGS pays 65% cash on any card worth one dollar or more and buys everything else at bulk status so yeah, 40% is a joke.

facebook is great and one of the best ways to get close to actual value, and fastest besides buy listing, people see your goods together so they can more easily buy from the same seller, prices are lower than ebay/tcg so buyers get a deal, etc. all listing can be done at once so its faster than tcg and ebay, and easier to get pictures over a tcg player for condition
buylisting is the fastest with the worst value, go to an event, sell your cards when they say a price youre happy with, no listing, and hell you dont even have to organize them
ebay/tcg is the slowest, with medium value, and the most work involved due to listing each card indiviudally, and waiting for a buyer while competing with hundreds of others

Unless you really want to spend the time to chop your collection up and sell off the valuable stuff individually, find a good buylist and cash out. 40% is pretty low, especially considering you're at your own brick&mortar.
