I'm looking to buy a booster pack that is not only fun to open but to make profit with. Either 5 Champions of Kamigawa booster packs or 1 urza's legacy pack?

Champions of Kamigawa won't net you value unless you manage to snag a Sensei's Divining Top. Also what the fuck was even in Urza's Legacy?

Champions has more than just the Top. But opening any packs is like playing the lottery, you might make your money back or a little profit, but more than likely you won't make up the cost of the pack. Also I think Champion boxes could be mapped. I don't see either pack as being fun to open though. Go get a lot of Khans and hope for fetches.

There are some decent cards in each set, but the chances of you "winning" more than you spent on the pack are extremely low.

Even in Urza's Legacy, only a handful of cards are worth any more than $3-4, and the pack itself probably costs around $15-17 or so. Granted, some of the value cards are commons and uncommons, but you still have low potential for value.

Depends on how important the fun:profit ratio is. Because unless these boosters come with a gaggle of drunk sorority girls who need an extra player for naked twister, I don't see how you're gonna break even. Let alone make some cash with your "fun".

Opening packs for profit is rarely a good idea. However, your best chances would be to buy a box of khans online for $90. Fetches are really high in price right now and youve got a good chance if opening 4 per box.

Remember though, it's still a gamble

@JetUppercut - Yes. So much yes in that statement. Hahaha. I'd buy packs for days.
