I want ones that are durable, and colorful. not sticky like my dragonsheilds but sort of like the toothy feel of ultra-pros.

This has nothing to do with Economics and should be in the Gear forum.

Personally, I prefer KMC Hyper Mattes. They are also very nice when double sleeved with KMC Perfect Fits.

I prefer KMC Hyper Mattes, and double-sleeve my EDH decks with them (they cost 1200 and 680, respectively) and have not yet had an issue.

One thing I will note is that when not double-sleeved, hyper mattes are a tad large (as they are made specifically for double sleeving) which can cause your card to wiggle just a tiny bit.

Like Dragon Shield's durability but hate the glossy/sticky backs? Try the new Dragon Shield: Matte sleeves today! Available in a wide variety of colors, like Mountain Red, Island Blue, Forest Green, Swamp Black, and Plains White, Dragon Shield: Matte sleeves are designed to protect your gaming cards against the wear and tear of play use, plus, as an added bonus, the uniquely textured back ensures ease of shuffling!

As someone who gets really sweaty hands, I really like the legion double matte sleeves. I'm currently rocking these :D

This also has been a thread many, many times. Before posting, try using the search tool above. A quick search yields this thread, this thread, and this thread. They may be old, but most of the discussion still remains relevant.

Personally, I agree with the above. KMC Hyper Mattes are my favorite and easiest to double sleeve since they make the perfect fits.

KMC Hyper Mattes are pretty much universally loved. Still, I just got 1000 of the new dragon shield mattes and they are fucking amazing. I can't emphasize how well they shuffle and how good they feel. I've got an entire cube sitting in these and everyone that drafts that thing comments on the sleeves. They're that good. I got the 10 boxes for $80 on Ebay. Really nice deal.

I have to be honest, if you want that 'toothy feel' then I haven't seen an equal to Ultra Pros!

All of them are colorful.

By the way, many of the other brands are a lot more sticky than Dragon Shields!

As for my opinion, if I want consistency then I think I like either KMC or Dragon Shields because I end up oopsing Ultra Pros into 52-card pickup too much, especially before they get 'broken in'! If I want flavor/personality/geeky and decadently unreasonable pleasure derived from a card game accessory, then I like Legion sleeves.

I have to second the DragonShield Mattes. As soon as I heard about them, I went out and got some of the blue ones. Thoroughly impressed. =D They're like dragonshield durability with the texture of UltraPros -- and they double sleeve just fine.

KMC Kyper Mattes are what I use to sleeve my Legacy deck. Double sleeve with perfect fits and I've never had an issue.

in my experience the difference between kmc and dragon shield is shuffle feel, and dragonshields get dirty a bit faster. when going commander I prefer dragon shield because they sell by 100, for 60-cards I use KMC because they sell by 80, so better for 75-cards. note that dragon shields tend to come with about 3 extra sleeves in case any split, but I've only had one split, and that was just recently with 3+ year old sleeves.

I swear by KMC. I wont use anything else on a deck thats worth more than like 200$. I use hyper matte on one of my decks, and i just bought a 10 pk of Super matte for the other decks. the super matte sleeves shuffle very smoothly but seem to collect grime a little quicker than hyper matte. Both fit Perfect fits nice and snug.

Dragonshield has matte sleeves now. I've always liked the feel of the matte sleeves but the durability of the dragonshields and now they've been combined.

My problem with KMC is I bought some, but almost 15 have split, even after absolutely no use except 1 draft. They've just sat in a box since then and I use them for trading now. Tolarian has KMCs at A+, and Dragon Shield Mattes as A-, with everything else below that.

My best friend had a bad experience with KMC and won't buy them anymore. I personally love them and even bought two packs just to double sleeve my EDH deck. They're the only sleeves I'll use anymore.

@asasinater13 Thanks for that link! It was so helpful that I watched another linked video to that one about art sleeves!

I do like Legion best but I don't ever double sleeve. I did try out UltraPro art sleeves once and it may just be my perception, but I encountered the most obnoxious land clumping ever at an alarming consistency. I am thinking about trading those for more KMC since I do play at a kitchen table kind of a lot.

I did find that ultra pro sleeves are good for cutting up and making into a snowflake rainbow because it is easy to take them apart!
