So since Birthing Pod is now banned in modern will the price drop for it? I've been hoping to get one for edh for awhile now.

I don't know of any Legacy decks that run it though. I don't pay much attention to that format though. I mean really Pod banned in Modern, how does that not make it a $2 Rare at best?

Remember they're a good thing to hold on to, or even to pick up cheaply and hoard, since Wizards do like to unban things.

It's only been printed once and it most definitely won't be in Modern Masters 2. It's an EDH staple and sees play in Legacy Maverick and Nic Fit. Tooth and Nail, while not banned in Modern, sees no play in any format but EDH, has 2 printings, and sits at $7.
I'd actually say Birthing Pod sits at $5 to $8. If it weren't banned in Modern, it'd more likely climb back up to its $20 price tag over time if it didn't get a reprint.

lol everyone i talked to about bans thought i was crazy saying dig through time, treasure cruise and pod would get banned they said they would never just steam roll multiple decks but alas i was correct

it will probably plummet to 1.50-2.00 honestly. There is no use for this now outside of EDH and there are a TON of copies out there, as it was one of the most popular modern decks and a 4 of.

yeah definatly around 2 bucks because it sees no play at all out of modern pod which now isnt a thing no even much edh play so i think it will drop to less than 2

I'm expecting a drop to around $3-4 in the next few weeks, but because it's a unique effect, it'll probably stabilize around $5.
