I have recently got about 20,000 dollars and i want to know what to buy i want something that wall be fun in commander but also will be very collectible
Inheritance? Lottery?
With that you could easily build 10 incredibly powerful decks. I'd go for 1-3 edh decks, one modern deck, and maybe one legacy deck. Other than that I'd use like $10k of the money for other things that include exercise, something outdoorsy, or plane tickets to somewhere cool

what if i built one 20,000 edh deck and kept the whole library in toploaders

Hahahahaha that would be a challenge to shuffle.
I'd build at least one competitive deck, and at least one casual deck. You may get bored of the same strategy played on repeat

At the end of the day it is your money and you ultimately can decide what you want to do but as greyninja said, I personally would spread it across multiple formats and save some for some other extracurricular fun. If you want to do a 20k EDH deck, foil that baby out! I dont have much EDH experience so I dont know what direction to suggest for it, but if you need any foil fetches I have some that I am selling with a few other things and it will be cheaper than any of the major online retailers. Best of luck choosing a direction!

Nah. Buyout staples and then sell them back to people for more. RIP the market apart.

Definitely get The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale, Mishra's Workshop, Timetwister...then probably some arabian nights stuff like Bazaar of Baghdad, Diamond Valley and so on. That's something not everyone plays, it's different from just buying more expensive versions of cards everyone uses, such as duals.

How old are you? Don't spend an obnoxious amount of it on Magic! Put that money into a savings account that pays you interest to have it in there.. (Capital One 360) for instance. Save it for a house!
I'd buy maybe one EDH deck to play around with and a modern deck, then save the rest.

I still stand by buying out staples. Doesn't give you a fancy deck, but you still get return on investment. With that much money it's somewhat do-able. But definitely do you man. If you want to go buy a shiny god-tier EDH deck, don't let people on the internet stop you. Take advice from the ones you trust well and do what you find is right.
If that happens to be donating $10,000 to the "TMBRLZ is broke and trying to help his wife get ready for law school while also pay off debt foundation," then so be it.

Buy reserve list cards that are edh playable that you think you may use. Then build multiple decks for each format you like. Build different power level decks. Different groups have different play styles and power levels. Some frown on instant wins, either through infinite combos or cards that just state you win. I have a large valuable collection, and I have 23 edh decks with this same philosophy (most have been listed on this site). Not all are top tier commanders, and the ones that are have been built not to be so cut throat as I know most of the people I play with don't run cut throat decks that are tier one.
In other words, build what suits your taste and what will be your normal play groups style. As some play groups will hate out players who do things they see as unfun (turn three combos), and some go as far as saying we won't play against your commander, or you.
Either way, have fun.

Definitely EDH playable reserve list cards that are also played in Vintage/Legacy. Dual lands, Gaea's Cradle, Mox Diamond, Lion's Eye Diamond, etc.
