I want to get a booster box, conspiracy mainly, to draft with some friends, and then get back some of the money I spent on the box by selling some of the cards. Should I just do this, or should I pick up a box of something else? Also, where should I get said box from? Many Thanks!!

Conspiracy has a number of cards with fairly stable prices since they are legacy playable. Depending on how quickly you want to get them you can look at the pricing at your lgs or Amazon has them for sub- $110 with included shipping.

My apologies Epochalyptik. I happened to find a box for 99 on amazon, I'm still fairly new to magic, and I feel like the cheaper cards would still be good to add to my collection. What are some of the big pulls?

Oh wow, thank you cr14mson! That seems like some good value, my only other question then is how stable are those prices? Should I expect deflation the longer Conspiracy is on the market?

The ones not originally printed in Conspiracy should hold their value. The 65 cards originally printed in Conspiracy and the foils of ones that have never been foil before will probably drop in value to about 75% of their current value unless they find a place in a legacy deck. I also noted some foil conspiracies are over $5 I don't see that lasting. I foresee all conspiracies going down to $1 max and foils $2.

Gidgetimer ok that makes sense, especially the conspiracies. Thank you.

Host a draft, charge your friends/people you know like 12 bucks to draft with you, they get 3 packs each, make a profit get to draft and still get to keep some of the box for yourself through the draft.

DarkHero I like that idea, might not go for the profit as much as break even with those packs, great idea though! Thanks!

Conspiracy has a lot of cards that are played in legacy, so it's a good buy value wise, also, drafting it is a lot of fun.

When I do house drafts I ask people to bring 3 packs. In exchange I provide 3 chaos packs I love drafting with sets that weren't meant to be drafted together.
I plan on doing this with conspiracy it'll get my standard pack collection back up.

So i was in a commander game and i had Warstorm Surge out on the field and i played my commander Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund . warsrorm surge states that when a creature comes into play it deals damage equal to its power to target creature or player. so when i play karrthus would it deal commander damage to my opponent on top of its normal combat damage?

I'm unsure what that has to do with this subject bigman.

bigman225 While this doesn't pertain to this thread, I do NOT believe it counts for both. Epochalyptik is that correct? (sorry to bother you and your busy self, I just don't want to spread false info)

@bigman225: Wut? Rules questions belong in the Q&A, bud. Check out the header bar.
Only combat damage can be considered commander damage. Damage dealt as a result of spells and abilities is never considered combat damage. Warstorm Surge does not interfere with combat.

I split a conspiracy booster box with a buddy of mine, and I got about $90 of trade fodder (not to mention other expensive cards that I'm keeping) for only $62.50. It was a win in my books, but your mileage may vary.
