What to do with all those commons/uncommons

What do YOU do with all your bulk commons, uncommons, junk rares?

I'm looking at a kitchen table full of magic related products attempting some sort of organization and seriously wondering if I have mental issues having all these fancy cardboard pictures.

Does anyone know of a place that buys bulk commons/uncommons? Might be time to purge a bit of this.... I live in Canada so that would be preferred.

Check your LGS. Sometimes they buy bulk C/U.

Unfortunately, most of the major online retailers (the ones that would buylist bulk C/U through mail or event table) are stateside, so they aren't really economical. Does SCG do anything near you?

Take them to your LGS and sell them to your friends and other people for like 10cents each?

New players especially would appreciate something like 10 cards for a dollar.

Give them to some kids at your FNM. That'll be the best thing to do I think.

My lgs lets you drop off boxes of bulk like that and they pick through it then leave anything super bulk in the table area for people to pick though and give/take as they please. They're really good about letting you know if you left anything of decent value in there and giving you a couple bucks for it

10 cents per card seems decent. Hell, might do 5 cents per card but must buy in in multiples of 20.

Curious what others do with this kind of stuff. Do you hold on to your 16 copies of Cancel? :)

Also I'm in Whitby Ontario if that means anything to anyone. Not far from Toronto.

Some places let you turn in your bulk cards for store credit. I've seen places that do 1000 bulk cards for a couple dollars. You could also sell them through Kijiji or eBay if you really wanted to move them and get something out of it. I just hold onto my bulk, although I have piles of cards.

ebay or kijiji are the easiest ways to go. you can generally find bulk commons/uncommons for $2-5 / 1000 and bulk rares 5-10 cents each.

Once I'm done with a box or two, I keep the rares/mythics, and a playset of the commons/uncommons, then leave the rest in a stack on a table.

A few times in the past I've looked up a school that has a MtG club and just sent my extras to the club's advisor. More recently, I've gotten to know a few folks at FNM who are hurting for $$$ and have been unable to buy packs of the latest sets, so I just hand my dupes over to them.

I had a big shoebox full of stuff. I am sure there was some decent stuff in there. I brought it to the shop, and found some college guys that were playing pauper. I ended up giving them the box because it seemed like they would actually use it. I saw them later, and they said the made a bunch of decks out of it. It just made me happy that someone was able to use them.

@LeonMcRabbit I didn't know 401 bought uncommons/uncommons.

@Salad_Thunder donating to them a school club also seems like a great idea.

Thanks everyone, I have a couple of options now. My wife will be happy without so much stuff in our closet.
