When to Get Rid of Doubling Season

Last year I was lucky enough to pull a nice modern masters copy of Doubling Season at a GP, but I have no use for it and therefore am looking to sell/trade it. The simple question being, when? It looks like Doubling Season has been on a bit of a downward trend recently.
If I were to sell/trade it, I'd be looking to get an Alliances copy of Force of Will for EDH, which is a bit more expensive of course, but is also looking like it's price is heading down.
Tl;dr: I want to sell my Modern Masters Doubling Season, seeking an Alliances Force of Will. Should I sell Doubling Season now or wait? Should I buy the Force of Will ASAP or wait?
You have to think of when it'll get reprinted as I think it will get a reprint soon. I'd get rid of it while its still close to 50. But it's a card that will never be less then 20 would be guess on the floor

AMJacker sorry if I wasn't clear, it's not a trade offer as I only trade in person, but rather just asking when the right time to buy/sell would be.
shadow63 I'm not sure it'll be reprinted soon. The chance of it being in a standard set is basically 0. We know it's not in Iconic Masters (although I kind of wish it was, so i could draft it with Hydras), and we don't have another masters until the end of the year. I doubt it would be printed in a commander set, or else it'd be in the Atraxa deck from last year, and it would create an unhealthy "I'm buying a box for one card" kinda thing wizards doesn't usually like. I could definitely see it being printed in the next conspiracy set, but that won't be for a while (They haven't even announced a 3rd yet). I think my plan is I'll try to sell it sooner than later anyway tho, as it is on a bit of a downwards trend and I really don't play it.

Wizards loves the "I'm buying a box for a single card" people, it makes them a ton of money and they're in business to do just that. Also if you're buying a box for a single card rather than just buying the card you're pretty foolish.

DarkMagician: I'm just saying that usually, even though WOTC doesn't publically acknowledge the secondary market, they tend to reprint High Value cards in masters sets, and we would never see a LOTV in an commander set, or a Carnage Tyrant in a planeswalker deck for the standard equivalent.

RE: only trade "in person" you only said "sell/trade" and as far as I know RazortoothMtg you live across the street from me.
sorry. disregard my offer of FoW sale/trade.

Just looking at the two cards and their utility, FoW is far less likely to be reprinted first, and has far more uses across various formats. Meanwhile, DS is more likely to be reprinted, and is somewhat tied to specific deck builds of the token, counter, superfriends categories. Considering your still about 90% of the recent high value of DS, it's probably a good time to move it via sale or trade and grab an FoW, which will continue to be a staple card in all formats.

Azdranax: Ya, I think I'll get rid of it pretty soon (as soon as I find a good place to sell it)
As for the Force of Will, do you think TCGPlayer is a trustworthy source of cards? My lgs doesn't have one, and I've never bought cards online before, so I'm not sure. Theres a copy marked 'Near Mint' for $53, but I don't know whether to trust that Near Mint or not..

Tcg player does a double quality check. The source that sells the item and then tcg checks it. All sellers on the site have a customer satisfaction rating

Yes and no would be my best answer, as TCG is going to be pretty comprehensive from a value database standpoint, but FoW and other higher value staples are going to vary considerably based on location and availability, as opposed to more widely available standard block cards. For example, Mise Eyes currently has Alliance FoW at $74, making $53 a bargain. If you were attending a GP and needed one right now, you'd gladly pay $53. On the other hand, you can find multiples of the card on eBay right now in the $50 to $55 range, which reflects an entirely different market value standard. If you're in no hurry, you may sneak in a purchase around $45 to $50 if saving the extra money is more important, but $53 seems like a reasonable price in any event.
A simple rule of thumb is the older and higher value of the card, the more market value sources you should check. Good luck.

Ha, I realized i completely misinterpreted your question after my last response...that'll happen while working I suppose. Simple answer is yes, for play purposes I would trust TCG for online sales, although condition interpretation is sometimes a bit less than expected. For collecting purposes, not so much, you want to see it in person or buy graded, imo. I think I have well over 700 online transactions for cards, and I can count the number of poor experiences on one hand...for what that's worth.

thx for the response Azdranax. I'd be looking to play with it in an EDH deck, so I wouldn't need it soon. Thanks everyone for all the responses- I think I'll just sell DS ASAP and see if I can get a god deal on FOW on Ebay, or maybe I'll buy that one on TcgPlayer.
