Is store tcgplayer safe to purchase from?

I like to buy from StarCityGames, TrollAndToad, or Ebay. StarCity and Troll and Toad are both more expensive that TCGPlayer, but I like their customer service and companies.

tcgplayer isn't itself a store. It's somewhat like ebay. It's a collection of retailers that all sell a certain product. In this case - it's all gaming stores that sell card games etc. I haven't used it but that's because I don't live in the US. I think its pretty legit though.

I haven't had any issues with TCGPlayer and I've made dozens of purchase from there. I like troll and toad for their sales, a lot of the time when they have a sale, it's not just 10% off everything, they have select items for as much as 50%. Maybe I don't notice it as much in other stores though. Ebay auction will always be my go to method though. Got my playset of Sword of War and Peace and Land Tax for about 50% of their value when you total it up.

I've made many purchases from TCGPlayer. It is a hub of different sellers. Some are better than others, but my general impression is that those with high rankings are very good at customer service and do really want to make you happy.

I once got a less than ideal quality copy of Farhaven Elf from the seller AdventureOn on TCGPlayer. That seller went way out of their way to make me happy about the mistake that I feel compelled to put in a good word for them here.

I would recommend TCGPlayer.

amazon.com is where I get mine from- prices are cheap, shipping is never a hassle, easy to use. Usually I try to buy from my LGS though.

Moved to Economics.

TCGplayer is, as others have mentioned, just an interface that allows you to make purchases from multiple stores. It's nice because it allows you to compare prices, get the market average, and order from the cheapest stores.

SCG is the largest MTG retailer worldwide, and for good reason. They're great businesspeople. Their stock is amazing, and I've never had a complaint about their customer service. Their site is also pretty straightforward. Some of their products are price a little higher than the market average, but the service and selection makes up for the premium.

TrollandToad is another major store. It offers products for lots of different games, and it occasionally has good deals. Their stock is not as impressive as SCG's, though, and their prices vary.

ChannelFireball is like the SCG of the West Coast, but their selection is smaller. I've never ordered from them because I live only a few states away from SCG.

If your based in the US it appears you have much more of a selection of shops and online retailers than anywhere else. In the UK the selection can be some what slim to say the least.

Being UK based myself i tend to buy my cards from US online retailers as the prices and the choice is so much better and rather laughably the postage is cheaper and sometimes gets to me quicker!

Most people i know tend to stick to larger online retailers and all of the above mentioned retailers have in my experience been fantastic, just make sure you shop around as prices do vary dramatically.

I have had great luck with tcg, but SCG has to be my favorite when they have the right prices.
