Where does Khans stack up as a set?

So far there are some pretty awesome cards in this set and the flavor is pretty cool. There is an impressive amount of mana (fetches, tri-lands, and refuges all in the same set), cool creatures, a couple of dope planeswalkers, sweet charms, and some other nice cards.

I've been playing on and off since Ice Age, but it seems like Wizards did a pretty decent job with Khans. I like it more than Theros and at least as much as RTR. My all-time favorite is Urza's Saga and it's not as cool as that was, but I like Khans a lot and I think there will be some highly desirable cards for long after the set rotates.

Khans falls highly for me for the sole fact that it gave Modern the full set of fetches at its disposal.I only hope that having the full cycle will bring a rise in new archetypes.

I love them fetches as a modern player.

It will be known for giving modern fetches, but other than that I don't see much. Don't get me wrong EDH players got some new toys to play with as well.

It'll probably fall about where Theros did on the scale of good sets. It's not great as a set, but it has some merit to it, there's a few cards that are worth it to everyone. It's no Innistrad though.

It has much more interesting lore than Theros, and in my mind, Return to Ravnica. Therefore, it ranks very close to RtR for me.

I have to agree with many of you, but the mechanics have been very underwhelming IMO. It's nice that they reprinted delve, but its kinda similar to convoke which they just printed. I think Ferocious, raid, and prowess are pretty lame and boring. Outlast is interesting and fun, but I think it failed to win me over completely.

Its a wonderful set otherwise though

Just got in from the Modern forum. Apparently this set has created a ban worthy deck via Jeskai Ascendency. Eh... we'll see I suppose. Personally this is fairly close to RTR for me. I like the lore, a lot, but that might be because it has Khans and I'm a nerd for Asian culture and history.

I don't really have a point of reference, as I only just got started in the last block. That being said, I find this set to be far more entertaining when playing limited than anything in the Theros block.

It ranks up there with RtR for me, but nothing has thus far matched innistrad for myself. It has good mechanics, and it has already started to make an impact on other formats with cards like Treasure Cruise in legacy.
