If your under a rock and havent heard, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn has an upcoming reprint in Modern Masters 2015.
Now Im trying to get a R/G Tron deck together, and Im wondering when the prime moment to invest in this card would be. With a hefty price tag of about 40$, im hoping this card will go down after MM2 comes out.
But what if it pulls a goyf, and just skyrockets after the release? Im just wondering when you all think the best time to grab this card would be?
Hopefully Karn Liberated is in MM2 as well, havent gotten them yet either.
Anyways, thanks for looking!
I have 3 other functional modern decks together, so theres no rush to get them. The deck is pretty janky right now, im running It That Betrays and Artisan of Kozilek as fillers. The whole point is to save a few bucks.
Got a DUI last week, need to pay for the charges.

The thing is, Emrakul and Goyf are in different positions.
Almost every Modern and Legacy deck that plays green wants Goyfs. Emrakul is only run in hyperramp decks like Tron. It's not in high demand. I would imagine it's being reprinted as mythic (because that's the only option that makes sense), so we're not really likely to see much of a price change.

The Eldrazi are cosmic, interplanar beings that don't have gender.

The promo version of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn is going for $35 Dollars so if you can stand a date and alt. art that isn't as flattering but still legal I think, you could probably get it for cheaper than the standard version.

That if forced to be refered to by gender Emrakul would be female. I only posted this because of the threads title.

He will likely drop a little once MM2 comes out, then go back to his original pricing. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn requires a deck to be built around him. Tarmogoyf just needs a splash of green to have a super efficient beatstick.
If you plan on playing your deck between now and MM2 release, I'd just get them now. No reason to wait months to save a couple dollars.
