Where should I buy cards from?

I've been considering buying my first magic cards. I have three hundred (give or take) that friends have simply given me, or that I traded for. I also have a holding box. So far I have not spent a dime on Magic! However, I would like to get some more, and currently am not interested in particular cards (yet) where's the best place to buy? I have easy access to Wal-Mart, or online stores like ebay or amazon. The closest card shop is out of town... Thanks for your help!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for when I want particular cards later on.

I almost always use ebay, but I also double check prices on TCGplayer. Most recently, because I've spent way too much money building pod, I bought 3x Noble Hierarch 's on ebay for $40 each while the lowest lightly played price on TCG was $51. So I would just check both sites and be patient.

I'd be careful with a few TCGplayer vendors, but for the most part, it's a solid site. Had one order not show up, and I never got my money back either; other than that, it's been a good place to get cards.

I always use Amazon. The condition is (almost) always perfect and the prices are fine, though usually on the higher side of the spectrum. However, sometimes people put stuff up that they need to get rid of fast and that is where you get the best deals. i.e. 4x Brimaz, King of Oreskos for $60, $40 off what it cost at the time.

I use EBay for expensive cards. I picked up a NM Italian Karakas for $85 and a MP Savannah for $54.
I love TCGPlayer for singles. I picked up a playset of NM Knight of the Reliquary for $21.00. Cheap man. I haven't had any major issues with any of the vendors there. The only thing that's annoying is that you can't get a card for under $1.00 from a single vendor; TCG makes you pay a dollar or more per order. Understandable from a business perspective, though.

I have a friend that swears by Troll and Toad, but I've found better prices via TCGPlayer.

I've decided to get a booster box from BoTG and have a draft with some friends. Thanks for the help, I'll probably go with TGC if I ever need singles.
