Which should I buy?

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but Im trying to decide between M14 or RTR for which booster box to buy.

I considered m14 because Mutavault is rapidly going up in price. I don't plan on buying theros because there really aren't any cards in there I want.

Amd RTR Ravnica I want a booster box because a lot of the cards I need to finish my control deck (haven't changed the decklist on my profile for what it is now) with Jace as a possible pull, but I'm probably going to turn around to sell any money cards(including hace) and wait for jace v vraska to come out so I can buy it at a lower price in march, for when a friend and I split Born of the gods.

Buy the RTR, they stopped printing card set.

Defs RtR. Shocks, Abrupt Decay , Deathrite Shaman , Sphinx's Revelation , Jace, Architect of Thought , Angel of Serenity , etc etc. Overall, very good value for a cheap box.

I bought a box of M14. Pulled a Mutavault and Red Planeswalker. ...that was it.

Like most people will tell you, if you don't need to bulk up your count of commons and/or uncommons, don't buy sealed product, just buy the singles.

However, RTR does hold more value cards, and core sets tend to fetch less overall than blocks because they don't have any real story or theme to it other than mono-colored cards (save Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker in M13, the only multi-colored card in a core set).

My recommendation? Buy the singles you need. But if you insist on getting a box, go with RTR.

You should really only buy a box if you need commons and uncommons like everyone is saying. But I understand that buying a box is super fun. If gambling with one pack is fun, gambling with a whole box should be even more fun, right?

I say buy RTR because it's no longer being printed, and you have a better chance of getting money cards/trade stuff in there than in M14

RTR for sure man. Mutavault is the only card with eternal value in M14, where as there is tons of money cards in RTR.
