So in looking to buy Green Commander 2014 just because i think there are a lot of good cards in it and playables and cards like Ezuri that is going up in value due to the winner of Modern.
But i notice it cost less than Black commander 2014 on amazon... why is that. I look st the cards in it and its not as valuable as white or ted or even green commanders...
Sorry I meant $12 worth of cards since he is not $12 alone right now. The decks are worth it though for the parts, just not for all the cards and people who don't play EDH might find it better to just by him alone.
What did they say it was? $30 for $120 worth of cards in 2013 Commander?

I'm not sure about the long-term price of Ezuri, Renegade Leader.
Yes, Collected Elves won the GP. But I don't know how well it will do in the meta overall. I would want to see more tournament results first. Right now it's the "hot" deck that everyone wants to build, so he is in high demand.
In terms of value, I would buy the red deck (just my opinion). But I would recommend buying the deck you will have the most fun playing.
I bought all 5 decks and in terms of synergy, both the black and green decks are pretty good. However, the black deck required less tuning for me in terms of upgrades. Maybe that also has to do with the price of it.
The Green deck is very susceptible to board wipes, can get wrecked by flying even with some obvious anti-flying cards in the original deck, and has limited removal (before making any changes, anyways).

That was the problem I had with my green Elf deck. Flyers killed you. Forests are creatures? Board wipe! It just could never get anything going and was too light on removal. I think that the Blue and White decks were really good. I haven't played with them out of the box, but a lot of the cards in them I found to be useful in other decks. I think the White one could be ran out of the box and was very similar to my mono-white deck I already had.
UpsetYoMama is probably right about the long-term price. I'm not a modern player, but I do know that decks will come and go and unless he becomes a staple for mutiple decks something will probably bounce him out of modern (new decks) or nullify him to the point there is no purpose to playing him. If you want to buy him, it might just be easier to buy single copies over spending more for cards you won't use. If you're going to buy it to play EDH, there are better options.

The Green Commander set is very very very very very heavy in Elves. It has Ezuri and Freyalise, but personally I don't know what else you would want in it besides Song of the Dryads. And those cards together might not be worth buying the entire commander deck. Also keep in mind that Ezuri is a reprint so you can get it from other sets. $30 bucks for a $12 card might not be the best course of action.
I tried to build an Elf EDH deck and in practice using Ezuri I couldn't get it off the ground. It was too heavy in small creatures and didn't have enough answers. I was able to use the black commander deck more in another deck so maybe it has a lot more useful stuff while the green is just too creature heavy.
