Why is Linvala so dang expensive?

I thought she was played in Pod and that's what drove her price up, but pod's been banned for quite some time now and she's still sitting at about $35. She doesn't seem to see much play in Legacy (as far as I know), so why is she so expensive?
Is it just because she's a ROE mythic that sees some play in EDH?

Same reason that Kozilek, Butcher of Truth and Sliver Legion are expensive- Casual appeal.

Yeah she's also very insane for sideboards in any fair deck

She's one of the most unfair fair cards in Modern. She'll be expensive for a while.

She's still playable in modern and does indeed see legacy play, as well as EDH play. It's really not a difficult concept, good card = high price. Her ability is very unique, her stats are good, so she'll always be worth something.

Market Memory.
It used to be expensive, so it stays expensive even though the demand is lower. People who have them don't want to trade them away at a loss so they keep them around and hope for it to become popular again.
The price will slowly drop, but it won't collapse like it would if it got banned.
On another note, the next From the Vaults is ANGELS, Linvala is an easy speculation target for reprint in that product. So I'd wait for that.
Oh, and she is really good. There's that too.

Linvala will not be in From the Vault. I expect restoration, Akroma, and Avacyn, but not Linvala.

She is a flying 3/4 for one-sided creature-only Phyrexian Revoker . She alone can completely shut down your opponents even in multiplayer EDH. Iona, Shield of Emeria + Linvala, Keeper of Silence + Tooth and Nail is my favorite combo with her.

Linvala is much like Bitterblossom in that it seems some play in EDH. In addition, both are considered to be absolutely gorgeous cards. Even non-collectors tend to want to hang on to them.
