Why is Mogis, God of Slaughter so cheap? It seems to me as if it is an incredible card.

GoldGhost012 Yeah I guess I didn't realize he was third, but still. I would imagine him to be second most expensive if not first.
His price stil suprised me. Even if he isn't a creature, he's a very strong enchantment for 4 mana.

Yeah, but scrying 1 before you draw in blue and a large pump and haste every turn in R/G is more powerful than sac a creature or take a Shock .

He see almost zero competitive play would likely be why, I am guessing the price he is currently maintaining is entirely because of casual demand.

GoldGhost012 Ohh yeah that scry is important. And I know how well the pump and haste works lol. I run R/G. Get Xenagod out and then Kalonian Hydra
and it's disgusting.
TheHorse I think rakdos in general is underplayed and underestimated right now.

It's a card that puts the opponent on a clock, but a slow clock nonetheless. There are typically better plays for that kind of mana. Still, it's a nice sideboard option for non-Dspheres control decks.

He's very slow and gives the opponent choice - something that is a massively avoided on competitive play.

- Legendary
- remove the creature aspect of this card and he kind of a dud.

He can be a reliable trigger to allow you to play Rakdos, Lord of Riots . Not a horrible card but there are probably better options for standard.

I guess I was giving the board Control too much credit. I guess ChiefBell has a point when he says giving your opponet a choice isn't good.

If your opponent doesn't have a ton of creatures or a ton of life, then sure he can be decent. But if they do, and you don't he doesn;t really do enough.

If I can get a play set of Mogis, God of Slaughter for 4 bucks a piece, does it seem reasonable for the value? Its half of the median value on him right now, I am just not sure how good of a deal it is. He appears to be tanking steadily right now.

mymanpotsandpans I wouldn't play a set since he's legendary and indestructible. But two or three are reasonable.

I think the only reason he costs anything is because everyone likes putting him in the Minotaur tribals.

He's actually the 3rd most expensive God, behind Thassa, God of the Sea and Xenagos, God of Revels according to TCG's mid price.
