Why is OGW Nissa not dropping in price?

I don't understand why Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is still hovering around 15$ when I can't really find competitive decks that play her. Any that do have her seem to only play 1 or so (at least that I have seen). Am I missing something, or do I just not have a clue? Does anyone think that there is a price drop imminent or am I out of luck?

I am considering picking up a couple for a deck but 15$ for a card is a bit above my price. Here is hoping for a drop or lucky drafts.

it was below 15 for a little bit but then some atarka red deck and hw hardened scales started playing her. Shes not super played but she is very good anc i could see her seeing some more play post rotation i wouldnt expect her to drop past 15 much in the coming 2-3 months

Well that is unfortunate for me. Although, with fetches rotating atarka red may fall out of favor.

I mean, she's a really good card that could see play in Modern and was all the hype in Standard a few weeks ago. She might go down but if she finds a build, she'll do nothing but shoot up. 3 CMC walkers tend to be very powerful and she's no exception.

Yeah I mean even if atarka red goes away there are other decks she fits very well into that have been supressed by the past standard so even if one deck goes away another can come in.

I doubt Atarka Red will completely go away. I think it will get replaced by a bit more Tempo deck with Arlinn Kord as the centerpiece. After all, we still have Atarka's Command.

That could be true, it won't be as explosive since they lose swiftspear and become immense. And that would probably make nissa even more pricey.

GW(u) tokens is probably a deck right now and might be a really strong deck after rotation

I want her price to fall after she rotates out. I would actually like a budget tokens deck with Nissa + Hangarback implemented in it.

She's a three mana work who isn't rotating yet which mean she has insane potential.

Keywords in that sentence.

THREE MANA WALKER.

She won't drop due to GW still being a thing post SOI. Also Atarka Midrange could fit her in quite nicely.

She's being played as four-ofs in Standard as well. Look at some of the recent Top 8s for Standard at the Competitive level and you'll see her.

That's the Hardened Scales deck which will lose Scales and another card that I can't remember; also fetchlands. But will be mostly intact after rotation.

I think it's people not wanting to dump them at a low price, only to watch her skyrocket due to some new or obscure interaction.

I think Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is a solid 1-of in Modern Junk. She wouldn't be terrible to splash green for in B/W Tokens, either. Especially since that means you can play Gavony Township. Dumpstering out a bunch of spirit tokens via Lingering Souls and then pumping them up with Nissa, Voice of Zendikar is a strong play.

The Eldrazi deck is probably pushing it out of the format at the moment. Once they're banned we'll see Modern slow down.

Standard guys. Standard. She's great in Standard. Four ofs in Standard.

Must not have caught on at my LGS, as I have not once seen her.

Deck #7 and #8 at a GPT in Tokyo both ran four copies of her.

Deck #2 in a GPT at Beijing used three copies; Deck #4 used two copies

Deck #2 at a PPTQ in Sydney used four copies

A trial winner at the GP Paris used four copies

The winner of a PPTQ in Italy used four copies

Number 8 at a PPTQ in Brazil used four copies

Number 3 at a GPT in Texas used four copies

This is all registered live event top 8 results for Standard from the month of March according to MTGTOP8. She isn't bonkers or Tier 1 material. But she is used and does help certain decks be top 8 material.

My point - Just because you don't see her locally doesn't make her bad.

Not saying she is bad at all, I am just thinking about running her, and 15$ is a bit much for me. I just haven't seen any decks when I have looked that played her. I must have been looking in the wrong places.
