Why is time spiral remastered so expensive?

It's the same price that modern horizons was. A set of all new cards that had a very high power level. Time spiral is all reprints and theres only a few that are high end. There are a ton of duds in the set. This is wotc once again choosing to recognize the secondary market that they claim to ignore.
I didn't realize they were more until you pointed it out, and I checked tcgplayer to confirm. That's just dumb.

Big time agree on my end. When I saw the set I immediately wondered if they would slap a premium price on the semi-garbage... Well wonder no more. Makes me happy I am at the point where I just buy a few singles & don't even worry about chase cards or overpriced boxes. I am OK with the $1.00 price hike per SET booster pack, but otherwise I feel like us cardboard consumers do have to wake up a little
