Brimaz, King of Oreskos This guy puts in work in creature decks however will he still bring in the $$ in modern format? He sits somewhere around $10 right now but will there be a potential for hit to spike up later on?
Brimaz sees play in legacy so it will hold value. I doubt you'd see a big spike though.

I do agree with you on that, I know the card is subject to popular removal in modern. I think if Splintertwin could get banned or its counter part it could open up a greater possibility to fit more in.

Probably not. Right now tasigur, gurmag angler and goyf are the big problem creatures in modern and they all dodge bolt as well. People are playing terminate for those cards and terminate kills brimaz just as well.

falls to Abrupt Decay, and that's pretty big in modern.

I think the main thing holding Brimaz back is that he needs a home...

His biggest flaw is that he's legendary. If he were not legendary, he'd be pretty much auto 4 in a lot of zoo-esq decks. Then again, a lot of legendary creatures suffer from that. It's just one of those things

Could he be efficient in decks like B/W tokens or a Junk build?

Considering how he always eats removal 4x Brimaz is the right number IMO

@APPLE01DOJ you're right Brimaz has to be dealt with fast or he will take things away in a hurry.

Hero of Bladehold is too similar to ignore the comparison - and it's been available for a long time and still doesn't see much play. I think this is modern playable but I don't think there's any current data that supports speculation on a future spike. If it happens, it will be due to the release of cards in future sets or the emergence of different deck archetypes. The current meta we have to work with does not use Brimaz enough to spec on him.
