Being brutally simplistic, he's ramp on a walker. That's just a cluster cuss of awesome.

Him and domti in a r/g creature shell is dangerous and monstrous. I expect him to rise then settle later on in the winter, fall around born of the gods, rise slightly. Tokens and ramp is' disgusting, forget his ultimate, with bloodrush in the format....

He'll probably drop in price the day after you buy him.

Cards like this are the reason why it's worth taking a chance on a box. With so many money cards in Theros, it'll be worth it even if you just get cards that can be traded for the PW you want.

He's gonna be brutal as Hell in Commander/EDH.

So many people run Gruul and R/U/G (Red ,Blue, Green) that he won't even be funny.Yes he'll be an instant target like Jace, the Mind Sculptor , but not because of his Ultimate Ability (I know a guy who only does his Ability Zero) My Theory:

People are gonna flush out as many Green and Red tokens as possible (Saprolings and Goblins) and up Xenagos to add 430,000,000 to their mana pool, then Red Sun's Zenith you for 429,999,998. That or use that to cast a 400/400 Primordial Hydra and play Ring of Valkas and equip it. Then swing out.

He. Must. Die.

@Samuel_The_Seer: I actually disagree. Xenagos, The Reveler 's power drops off in EDH. The + ability is useful, yes, but the 0 is underwhelming. The ultimate, while strong, varies in performance. In the fringe cases you mention (e.g. infinite tokens), Xenagos, The Reveler is really just an unnecessary "win more" card.

@Epochalyptik True. But in the whole subject of Planeswalkers in EDH, most people do use them for one or two abilities. Call me hostile to Gruul, but the last thing an Aggro deck needs is mana ramp.

4-drop walkers don't really qualify so well for the aggro category. They're more midrange.

I'm just unimpressed by what Xenagos, The Reveler brings to EDH.

He's going to be played a lot in Standard due to his second ability. The ability to churn out 2/2s with haste each turn is going to quickly overwhelm the board state vs. control. He's an excellent replacement for Garruk, Primal Hunter .

Expect his price to go up.

I see him being usefull in my R/G ulasht token deck, for obvious reason. But that is casual EDH... In other deck types i don't see him being that usefull...

He may be played in standard since the format should slow down and he'll bring ramp for midrange....

For his price, it will go down, as most cards before release are way over evaluated. I remeber selling a Jace, Architect of Thought at 40$ during prerelease week....
