Why is this card 3 - 4 dollars? i dont understand how such a high cmc card can get to that dollar range? Am i missing something? Comments please
People like Spike (those who play to win an win only) tend to like it because it can be ramped into. In a typical mono green devo deck, a nykthos and a Voyaging Satyr can do the trick for 11 mana. Mono green super-ramp tends to get there even easier. Also, Garruk, Caller of Beasts -3 is perfect (think t2 Worldspine Wurm .)
Timmy (Guys who are in awe of great power) like it because it is a 15/15. Nothing else matters that much. It's abilities are even better.
Johnnys (combo players and janky players) like to build weird ramp combo decks with it, and love it with Unexpected Results .
I'm not saying its good, but you can't deny that if played, it is ridiculous.

I traded a Supreme Verdict for a foil one about a month ago. All the little teeth in the wurm glisten o.o

cause MBD has a deck full of kill spells and for someone trying to put out monsters, it would take 4 of those spells to totally destroy this beast.

Please make sure you read all the forum descriptions. Moved to Economics. Also, it helps if you link the cards in your post.
Worldspine Wurm
It's due largely to casual appeal. Timmies love fat green creatures, and it's acceptable in EDH. Plus it's a mythic.
