ZEN fetch reprints?

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone had predictions about the future price of Zendikar fecthland reprints (Arid Mesa/Scalding Tarn/Misty Rainforest/Verdant Catacombs/Marsh Flats).

I know that when the onslaught fetchlands were reprinted in KTK, the reprinted versions ended up at around $10-$15, while the original Onslaught fetches were super expensive before the reprint.

If we do get enemy fetches in Battle for Zendikar, what do you think their prices will settle at?

Same as the fetches reprinted in Khans. More people than ever play Magic nowadays, and there will be plenty of packs/boxes opened up if the Zen fetches do see a reprint. Unless they change the rarity to mythic (for some unlikely reason) their price will fall like the ONS ones. $10-$15 seems like the price point people are willing to pay for individual lands in their mana base, so I don't imagine them going lower than that fortunately.

They might end up being lower than the Allied ones as the allies are more widely played.

Anyone still think they WON'T be reprinted?

@insertcleverid I dont think they will. From a flavour standpoint Zendikar has been being ravaged by Eldrazi for x amount of time. It would be odd that the lands are still in their original condition. Although I wont complain if we do get them :P I am speculating for a River of Tears cycle though

Wizards has said they don't like printing just part of a cycle of lands, which makes me think we'll see the rest of the fetchlands in either Origins or BFZ. However, we've had just the enemy painlands (Shivan Reef, Caves of Koilos, Llanowar Wastes, Yavimaya Coast, and Battlefield Forge) here for a while now, so it's possible they leave us with just the allied fetches as well.

The reason I ask is because I'm looking to invest into Modern when I have the extra cash and was probably going to need some Arid Mesas.

I believe their cycle was enemy pain lands + the allied fetches. More speculation can be made when Magic Origins come around and if there is a cycle of lands in that set. In regards to your fetches I would just buy your fetches now, they are the lowest they have been for a long time. If they get reprinted you have the originals which are always worth a little bit more (when it comes to lands at least)

In reference to the River of Tears comment, am I the only one that actually liked the Future Sight borders?

b287213- I liked the FS boarders as well, although they're really not as visible (and therefore not as practical) as the normal ones.

I see your point. However, they could fix that by fading the colors in the text box and making the mana symbols more visible. Just my thoughts though.

I like the Future Sight card layout a lot more than the normal one. It's easier to see what's in your hand at any given time, I think that was the goal.

The text in the card name box does feel a little bigger and bolder so it's easier to read, and the symbol for card type in the top left hand corner helps, though minimally.

Well the fact that the mana cost is along the left side makes it easier to see the mana costs in a naturally spread out hand, rather than not being able to see the mana costs without flipping through the cards.
