Damaged Cards

Gear forum

I don't know that this is the right place for this.

What do people do with cards that are too damaged to play with, even once sleeved? I had some pipes break in a house, so a deck has some damaged cards (nothing valuable, thankfully) but they're cards that I like. Any recommendations for what I could do with them? Use as decorations, and on what, what are the best ways to make them stay on a surface (say, a binder cover, a computer case, something like that)?

sorry if this is the wrong forum. Seemed like it could be gear.

If there's enough of them, make them into a collage and hang them on the wall as a poster.

that might work. I'll probably combine the cards I like out of it with just various bulk commons with cool art and basics I enjoy. So amount shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not sure if this could work with water-damaged cards, but I've made some into 3D cards. Turn out looking like this (that's very similar to the Cancel one I made). The condition doesn't matter too much for the lower layers, and might have a cool appearance.

If your binder has a plastic sheet on the front for labels, you could always make a collage and put it there. The scraps from the aforementioned 3D card look pretty neat as well, depending on the art.

some of the cards are also from just when I first started playing and didn't know how to treat cards, but I don't have enough of the same card to do 3D. Maybe I'll do it for rampant growth at some point (it's kind of a sentimental card to me).

I'll probably do a collage for the front of my binder, and maybe make a collage for a wall or something. thanks

A 3D Rampant Growth would look sick.

How do you make 3D cards? I might make one of Treasure Cruise.
