So i recently ordered a bunch of perfect fit sleeves to double sleeve my modern stuff. But i realized im lacking a bunch of sleeves so i have an option. i could ordser more or i could double sleeve up all my costy cards and ignore the commons and basic lands.
i have 3 qustions.1.would it be tournament legal?2. would the veryyy slightly change is size cause damage to my cards? lets say during shuffling?3. would my deck feel weird? lol

If you plan on playing anything sanctioned you have to have all your cards uniformly sleeved i.e. all double sleeved or all single sleeved. Like was mentioned above it could be seen as marking your cards which is illegal and can get you dq'd, especially if you knew which cards were double/single sleeved

Vman,
I've encountered this with Blossoming Defense, a card I use in both my Standard (single-sleeved) and Modern (double-sleeved) decks.
Another option is to proxy the expensive ones (but of course have them available) and play the proxies single-sleeved. But I'd probably just order some more double sleeves.
Good luck (and skill) with the deck!
