Using Counters

I have gotten back into MTG after a long hiatus and was wondering what you use for counters? I have been using dice as counters and they work well for things like a +1/+1 counter for instance. But keeping track of the odd counters like +1/+0 or things of that sort can become a little confusing. So, I was wondering, if for those situations, do you use a pair of dice, one being used for the strength counter, and the other being used for the toughness counter?

Tear up little pieces of paper and write +1/0 on them, and use them

I write on the card every time the P/T changes.

But seriously, I use dice for standard counters and paper for odd counters.

If it's from a card like Defiant Strike I just leave the card at the board untill the turn is done. Otherwise I use some paper.

Something like Wall of Roots I have matching dice, and off ones. The matching ones are for regular counters, and the off color ones I use for different counters. Yisan, wall of roots, and other stuff.
