Hello friends! Every new set I like to admire the art and post my favorites/ask everyone what they liked. I think I missed M19 but we're back with Guilds of Ravnica! I usually include flavor text but Argy beat me to it
Here is some of my favorite art:
All in all I'd say the Dimir art was a standout for me this time around.
Now I'll throw it to you: What was your favorite art from RTRTR?
Not GRN, but released around the same time. I just thoroughly enjoy this art.

I'd say Aurelia, Exemplar of Justice has the best art in my opinion, followed by, in no particular order, Flight of Equenauts, Justice Strike, Ledev Champion, Legion Guildmage, and Trostani Discordant.

Dream Eater is very evocative of a nightmare sphinx.
March of the Multitudes - if only for the Fblthph in the art.
Maximize Velocity is just pure joy.

One of my opponents at prerelease had a foil Dawn of Hope that looked pretty amazing.
I agree with Argy that Dimir had some strong art this set. There was some great interplay between light and shadows in those cards. I'd add Notion Rain to my favourite arts--the subtle detail of the runes-as-rain is pretty well done. This is another one that looks fantastic in a foil.
Goblin Locksmith might not be my favourite artistically, but it made me chuckle.

Actually I didn't say anything about the art cdkime.
I think you meant Suns_Champion.

for humor i vote Generous Stray wins both art and flavor text.... but for just being awesome and blendiing bad@$$ery with Majesty ill go with Ledev Champion because the idea of a Elf knight riding into battle on a Dire wolf is just too cool.

Argy - It seems that's true--musts have registered your name in the opening paragraph but not Suns_Champion. The memorable red lettering combined with severe caffeine deficiency has clearly led me astray.

cdkime well, let's be honest, the red lettering is an art form in and of itself.

I think my favorite piece is probably Conclave Cavalier I love the aggressive pose and the way the dark armor creates a sharp contrast to the bright fall leaves.
For a lot of the same reasons I also love Emmara, Soul of the Accord. I haven't decided if the darkness at the bottom of her art is foreshadowing of something bad about to happen (see Vicious Rumors) or if its just unique lighting attempted by the artist. Either way its working for me.

Love seeing so many different arts mentioned! Also thanks to those who say why they like the art they do... I know I didn't, prefering to let the art speak for itself... but I like seeing other's thought processes on admiring art.
Ryjo ooo I must have missed Ledev Champion! I like that one!
Boza the guy in Maximize Velocity does look so happy haha
cdkime I really like Notion Rain too. It reminds me of the Blade Runner movies.
Argy any favorite art, while you're here? :)
LittleBlueHero I didn't think about than for the Emmara art! I have a new appreciation for it now!
saluma Sworn Companions reminds me of this moment from Predator:

Definitely Thousand-Year Storm, but also Watery Grave, Gruesome Menagerie, Undercity Necrolisk, Gateway Plaza, and the guildgates.

Am I the only one that thinks the arm on the far right of Gruesome Menagerie looks like a reanimated ninja turtle?

I love the lighting and the way everything is tinged
Some of the lockets look REALLY good. They echo the traits of their guild.
I love the detail on the clothing and the fire swirls on this card.
The detail on the clothing here, the swirling leaves, and the sheild all scream Boros.
I dig the lighting in this art, and the way is flowing from her staff to all the magic mushrooms she is growing.
I like the floating face in this one, which looks very life like.
The dramatic lighting in this art is cool, with light coming through slats.
I also like whatever was in the hand, being shown to dissipate.
The rain is done nicely here, and I like the dark contrat of the figure with the light background.
Often when this is done the figure lacks detail or clarity itself, but that is not the case here.
I think that's enough.
Otherwise I'll be here all day.
