can Flameblast Dragon s ability be used more than once in 1 attack step. what im thinking of is casting flameblast dragon and next turn enchant him with Bear Umbra then attack tap out for flameblast and then untap with the umbra and then tap again for flame blast would that work?
ok thank you how ever it will work if i play World at War so i might still start a deck like that

If you combo it with World at War , it will work. Each time it attacks will be a separate trigger.

I think the consensus is wrong here regarding Bear Umbra. While there IS indeed only one activation per combat, Bear Umbra + Flameblast Dragon means that as soon as he attacks, two triggered abilities go on the stack in the active player's order of choice. One is "untap all the lands" and the other is "pay x for damage." As long as "untap the lands" goes on last, you could untap and then pay all teh stuff.

I don't think anyone would dispute that you can pay double for Flameblast Dragon 's ability, but the question was if you could activate his ability twice.
May 15, 2010 1:04 a.m.
i got it i see how to get around that cause you can't pay Flameblast Dragon 's abitly twice since it only triggers once what you do is once the triggers go on the stack tap out your mana and then untap with the umbra that way you get double the mana and then pay all your mana in your mana pool for flameblast dragon.

can two of Sharuum the Hegemon s actually play off of each other creating an infinite loop swapping in and out of the graveyard.

Unless you have something that causes an effect when a creature (or artifact) comes into play... oh.... thats just insane... lol.
mental note: to play with the idea... Extractor Demon anyone? :)

Playtested Legions of the Sun God against Mono-Red, Mono-Black, and Mono-Blue... Blue, I won about 60% of the games... Black I got 75%... Red... well, I just took two losses, and it looks mean! Madcap Skills , man... great card!

Nice results for your deck Long_Con! The Red deck is very smashy. I was surprised there were no Purphoros decks, as they can be nasty too.

That monored list looked interesting, but it feels like Ratchet Bomb is SCREAMING to be brought in against it and my BUG list has a pretty good game (especially post board) against it.
haven't tested against the other lists yet but thanks omnipath!

0-2 Brad Nelson's Naya Control
0-2 Tom Ross's Mono Red Blitz
2-0 Alex Harris's U/W/R Control
2-1 Ryan Archer's G/W Aggro
2-0 Jacob Baugh's B-G Devotion
1-2 Michael Laviolette's B Devotion

I am really interested to hear how my deck/ sideboard could be improved against Naya Control, Mono Red Blitz and Mono Blue Devotion. Thanks.

Awesome list, I wanted to put together something like this for awhile! This is a nice resource.

Cool - I'll try to keep on top of the tournament results and post anything new that differs from whats already here!

MAN I've had to tweak my new deck to try to combat these winners. I didn't realize how weak to blitz I was!

This thread should be bumped daily. It's too bad there are not stickies for the forums. This would be a good topic to keep on top.
November 13, 2013 10:38 a.m.
Collin Schwartz's Boros Aggro - 1st Place
To add to the list. Maybe omnipath can edit the first post?
Also, how do I post a deck so that it shows up as a graphical box instead of a link? I knew, but I forget.
November 23, 2013 12:40 p.m.
I couldn't find a method to edit the first post. Maybe I should create a new thread? Anyways, here are top 3's from three recent tournaments:

I have a total newb question - when you guys playtest against one of these decks, are you using your own deck in paper format and running the tourney deck through tappedout's test deck app? Or is there some way to auto play two decks against each other (the seems highly unlikely due to the AI it would take but I thought I would ask).
Thanks

You can open each deck in a new "tab" and run the playtester that way. I usually roll a die or use random.org to generate a # to see which deck gets to go first.
I usually will run 2 playtests (up to 3 games) to make sure I give it a chance to "flow" and not get mana screwed to base my findings on.

Oh...and by the way everyone who has been playtesting against these lists: Dimir Charm is a BOSS card vs the monoblue list as it hits 24/28 of the creatures in that list and has extra benefits if you so choose to use them.
Just a thought and recommendation

Great job bumping guys! Do you want me to post the newest batch as another comment on this thread, or start a new thread? votes...

I'd do them here and start a new thread after the first BNG tourney.
January 28, 2014 3 p.m.
If it's a new thread, be sure to link that thread to this one. I wish there were stickies for Tappedout, it would help sometimes.

I'd say start a new thread and leave a comment on here with a link to the new thread. Obviously the Meta Game is going to get shaken up once BNG is officially released, but I think a lot of these on this thread are good testing tools.
Thanks again for the hard work omnipath!

New thread for sure, great idea! Looking forward to Born Of The Gods!!
Any predictions as to what decks will prosper? Mono-Black has gotten a few nice new weapons!

"white weenie" or W/X aggro based decks are going to surface because of the new 1WW mythic guy that resembles Hero of Bladehold
.

Working on the decklist from last weekend's grand prix in vancouver... not much new - they're all U/W control, mono-black and mono-blue... same ol' decklists still cycling around.
I like the suggestion of new thread for post BOTG... we'll do it that way.

Unfortunately, Flameblast Dragon 's ability can only be done once per combat. It triggers when it attacks. So, that means one trigger per combat, meaning only one activation per combat.
