The purpose of this post is to list continuity easter eggs people of found. Confused what a continuity easter egg is (because I made up the term), I'm referring things like Windrider Eel and cliffhaven-knight. Like Spinerock Knoll and Knollspine Dragon . Has anyone else noticed these? If so list.

Many lands in certain sets are panoramic, meaning, when lined up in a certain order beside each other, will create a full picture spaning across all of those lands.
My favorite one, in my opinion, are the four Mountain cards from the Champions of Kamigawa set, by John Avon.

Blade of the Bloodchief sure is a cool weapon. HEY. WHERE DID YOU GET THAT? Put that down, Nirkana Cutthroat , that's EXPENSIVE.

@ NecroBane -- I've noticed this once or twice before, but never really thought much of it. What you've pointed out is really cool!
@ honeymomo -- Would Thrun, the Last Troll be a better fit for Asceticism than Troll Ascetic ? The name suggests the latter, but the hunchback creature with a staff in Asceticism looks a little more like Thrun to me. Great find, nevertheless.

I don't know where, but I think the horror on the card Psychic Surgery is on another card in the New Phyrexia set.
Also, speaking about Psychic Surgery , has anyone else noticed the phyrexian on the card looks shockingly similar to the Arbiter from Halo 3?

Perhaps the man in Second Sunrise has found the Worldslayer . He must not think he did the job right.

I think Knight-Captain of Eos and Man of Measure may be related.

After seeing this thread last night, I started flipping through the Shards block (set I know best), and either my imagination is crazier than I thought, or I found a bunch. Let me know what you guys think!
Bant Sureblade in the foreground of Enlisted Wurm ?
Fight to the Death is a gold mine. I think I see a Rhox Charger , Gloryscale Viashino , and Goblin Razerunners .
Bant Sureblade in Finest Hour as well?
This one was kinda easy, but Progenitus in is the distance of Mayael's Aria .
I guess Qasali Pridemage found his way to the Great Wall.
Is Arsenal Thresher coming through Wargate ?
Is Mirror-Sigil Sergeant in Gleam of Resistance ? The chestplates look a little different, but since there's multiple, I was thinking the Sergeant
Deathbringer Thoctar could be chasing Wandering Goblins ... I guess they wandered in the wrong direction.

That's a Sphinx of some sort using the Wargate (looks most like Enigma Sphinx to me) and I think some of the Bant-related things you mention might just be from the artists sticking closely to that shard's style guide, but everything else seems like legit Easter Eggs!

Abrupt Decay . You can see an abruptly decaying Nivix Cyclops there.

You'll notice that Bant Sureblade is left-handed... while the 2 cards it is compared to are both right-handed.
Most Rhox are fairly nondescript... you could just about say that any specific Rhox is in any card that happens to have a Rhox in it.
June 12, 2013 11:24 a.m.
Wait.... The soldier in Enlisted Wurm is facing away... he is left-handed as well. This just might be Bant Sureblade

This is slightly different kind of easter egg, though a nice one. Urban Evolution . There are actual buildings from Prague, Czech Republic in the background.

Riptide Replicator and Metallic Sliver
Damnation is the exact opposite of Wrath of God , in cost, and in the illustration on the card.
Eldrazi Monument and Dreamstone Hedron
All Is Dust and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre
I've also noticed that on every other card that Emrakul, the Aeons Torn appears on, it is illustrated as the version of him of the promo version of the card.

I think Lyzolda, the Blood Witch is holding Rakdos Riteknife . Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius is in Legion's Initiative . Blast of Genius and Homing Lightning show Ral Zarek , oh yeah, his art has Lightning Bolt in it. Ancient Grudge looks like all werewolves, but Rampaging Werewolf Flip is the one i think it looks like most. Niv-mizzet is also in Firemind's Foresight . I think that's Wayfaring Temple in the left of Collective Blessing . I also think Giant Adephage is in the background of Death's Presence . I think Doorkeeper is fblthp, from Totally Lost . The guy in Furious Resistance looks a bit like Tajic, Blade of the Legion . Guildscorn Ward is in the same place as Tablet of the Guilds . Psychic Strike shows either Dimir Guildmage or Duskmantle Guildmage ... take your pick. Boros Battleshaper is being bound by Hands of Binding . There are quite a few in the ravnica block alone, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is shooting Marrow Shards , for another one.

What would you use?
Something along the lines of Paraselene?
June 3, 2015 6:51 p.m.

It seems like anything that gets rid of Opalescence and/or Rest in Peace/Leyline of the Void (depending on the varient) just wins the matchup.

Force of Will is a mainboard card, and literally wins the game. Counter the Helm of Obedience or Opalescence.
