Cycles you like but just can't play

What are some card cycles you like, but can never find a spot for?

For me, it's the Borderpost cycle and the Ramos cycle. They're just so cool looking, and I think they could do well, but I just can't make a spot for them in my decks. I would love to play them in any deck, but I can't justify it.

For me it was the Depletion-lands Cycle (Saprazzan Skerry, Peat Bog, etc.). But then Atraxa, Proliferating Voice was released and my life became better.

My story has a happily-ever-after to it, lol. =P

Beyond that, the Keyrunes. Golgari Keyrune is such an awesome card, but there are so many better options also. Not to mention the other 9 keyrunes.

If you want to play the borderposts, you could try out Modern Restore Balance.

I really like Guile, but sadly, they're just too much mana without hexproof.

@Dredge4life: Have you seen the Mono-Blue Guile deck over at MtG Goldfish?

I've always liked the guildmage cycle. They aren't really playable outside of Limited and the occasional Standard format. Same goes with the one mana charm cycles.

I agree on the Borderposts. Such a great idea. Shame we didn't get them in the other 5 color combinations.

Personally though, I've been hard pressed to slot in the Confluence cycle from Commander 2015. They seem like such fantastic flexible spells, but I've yet to find a deck where any of them really feel at home. :/

The Guildmages. Just felt like a little more power added to them could've made them really playable.

Some of the guildmages were quite playable, even strong. Azorius Guildmage and Zameck Guildmage spring to mind. But I will say that's definitely not true of all of them. In fact, the disparity in power level between them was why I was never much a fan of them.

Unless of course you're referring to the old Mirage cycle of guildmages, in which case I agree, a great concept gone to complete waste.

Tyrant-Thanatos I was indeed referring to the Ravnica mages. Yeah, but when you have the concept of the plane to have ten equally powerful guilds struggling for power, it's sort of sad to see some of the guilds get better cards than others. Given, balancing those ten in equal parity would've been really hard, but they could at least have made each one playable in some context.

Mystic Confluence is a mainstay for me in all of my U EDH decks.
