I hope im havent accidently posted this twice but here we go. I have recently checked the community page and now know i am the #16 deck lord. I have no idea why this is as I only have made 5 decks and none of them have above 10 upvotes. Is this a problem with the algorithim? Can someone please explain this too me?

We like your enthusiasm. Most of us can only handle playing some of the decks. You want to playallthedecks!

Deck lords is (I believe) just site activity. The algorithm seems to weigh recent activity much more heavily than it did 5 or so years ago when it was practically impossible to crack the top 100, much less top 20. I don't post many decks and was top 5 for a long time. I have cooled down on my site activity and fallen to 76.

It is just a nice little thing for people to be recognized for their contributions to the site.

Its definitely activity based. There are some people with ridiculous folders filled with decks and upvotes but aren't very active on the site; I believe it's a point system and points decay after some time so you may slide down the ranks if you're inactive for a bit. I'm sure theres probably more to it. Though I'm not sure how certain actions get weighted just being helpful and giving good suggestions seems to bolster your rank fast. Though the ones on top seem to be the most heavily invested in the site.

I get burned out sometimes and take breaks but it's nice to see how everyone approaches the game. I think itd be cool if the top 10 did like a battle or something at a commandfest or in discord.
