Hey guys just curious, does anyone here play block constructed anymore? I feel like this format fell off the face of the planet. If anyone does lets chat a bit.

Well, support for it from Wizards fell off the planet too. Maybe they are connected? Does anyone remember Block Constructed Pro tours? Last one was in Theros.

It feels too much like a more restricted standard, which already has a small pool of cards. It is hard for more than 2-3 decks to be good in block constructed.

Block is narrow and overlaps with Standard hard. Never seen it played.

The reason Wizards stopped supporting it is that there was no interest in the format at all from the players.

You probably see more of this in some of the cubes that get put together.

It's just sort of screwy, it doesn't have the rotating always new nature of standard, the nice balance of modern, the card pool of legacy, the sheer status of vintage, or the casual appeal of EDH, it just seems out of place. Personally, I prefer Shelf.

Understandable, I prefer edh and modern than standard. Has anyone here played pauper? I'm thinking about trying that this weekend.

I like block pauper highlander as a balanced way to get people into M.T.G. and a way to play really cheaply, but few people see things my way on that.
