Does Portraying Dominaria as the "History Plane" Limit it?

I saw this post, and I agree more with the poster than with Mark Rosewater; Dominaria is unquestionably the most diverse plane in the multiverse, so I feel that a single set on it could easily give a detailed exploration of a specific region and/or culture, whereas showing multiple regions in one set would decrease the focus on each one, and, therefore, have a lack of depth and complexity.
What does everyone else say about this? Would you rather have future visits to Dominaria focus only on specific regions, or see more of the plane in a single set?
"All early sets except for Arabian Nights and Homelands take place there; the Weatherlight Saga dealt with a devastating invasion of this world. After Scourge, storylines have been traveling to a different plane each block, though Dominaria has been revisited in the Time Spiral block and the eponymous Dominaria." - from Wiki.
I think this amounts to 25+ sets that took place on said plane. Mirrodin is a different plane from Dominaria.

I have to raise several points in contention:
I have to agree with Mark here - Magic has spent quite enough time on Dominaria. Being used as a "history" plane makes a lot of sense, given that it is a nostalgia vector, but beyond that, Dominaria is just too generic. I would much prefer a new world to an old one.
