What's the point of this card I pulled 3 of them and I have no idea what to do with them they seem utterly useless but is there any use for them at all

Pyromancer's Goggles ramp plays it. Sacrifice the temple to return World Breaker back to your hand, pay 3 to get it back. Discard it to Magmatic Insight and bring it back later.

It's great fuel for a lot of discard spells. If your playing Madness or UR control having it as an option for Magmatic Insight, Tormenting Voice, Lava Axe, Call the Bloodline, you get the idea. Then, after you've discarded it, you can return Drownyard Temple, back to the battlefield at any point. This includes the end step of your opponent so you've just went ahead and ramped into more mana and you can play any of your higher converted mana cost spells a turn earlier!

There were a few decks that made the Top 8 of recent tournaments that used Drownyard Temple because this ability!

I'm sorry. Lava Axe should be Lightning Axe

It's useful for any intentional discard tech honestly.

On that note, something that just occurred to me, they never made a Madness land... That would have been sweet.

Yeah, it will see fringe play, unless some deck picks it up for Modern. It's definantly Commander playable.

I think it's too slow for Modern but this land isn't rotating out for a very long time.
