I just found this: http://www.wizards.com/magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/119k

At least they only changed the name!

I personally think its awesome that Wizards has embraced the EDH community. It was nice to see a grassroots fledgling variant of MTG become so popular and this just makes it official.

It is also good that they are keeping their hands off this one. All they are doing is officially endorsing it, and making a few new cards for it.

they are legacy and vintage legal. I think that they are just selling as a full set for like 30 or 40 bucks. Not sure

they have suggested a retail selling price of 29.99

so $30-$40 sounds about right for what they will actually sell for

i cant wait to get my hands on some/all of these decks. i hope the new "wedge" colored legends are awesome the one ive seen looks pretty good.

also to add on what i posted their will be five seperate decks each being enemy colors so there will be a R/U/G, a R/B/W, a U/G/B, a R/W/U, and a G/W/B deck.

I may just have to get into EDH(Commander) now, this will make it alot easier to build an EDH deck(I don't own many older cards, the oldest cards I own are from lorwyn, and that isn't much).

But I like the first one previewed, that will probably be my general(love me some recursion effects).

I appreciate the way Wizards is handling this, as others have said; it's pretty awesome that a grassroots format that sprouted on one casual playgroup's table is now being officially endorsed because of how popular it is, and the fact they're staying at least mostly hands-off is ALSO pretty sweet (as long as it stays that way).

I'm interested in what they start publishing for the "wedge" colors; I've always wanted more cards of those varieties, community-built set notwithstanding. And that previewed "give everyone but that one schmuck a dragon" card seems like it'll be fantastically fun. Not to mention big-size general cards.

The only beef I have with this is that I wish that, instead of cranking out a new thing every summer, they'd spend some time giving more support for their other types - print more planes or schemes, for instance, something like that. BUT that doesn't mean this isn't sweet.
