I don't know which deck to run for my local game day event. which one would you use, and what could I do to make it better?

one of my existing standard really bretween deck:gaeas-beatdown and my grixis-help-plz decks.

Personally it matters about your meta if control or late game landfall is better. Both seem pretty good personally i have a recent obsession with grixis so i would say that and you should cut bolas. Too much mana when you would rather just use cruel ultimatium

How long is it until you can deckcycle again? is it 12 hours or 24 hours?

12pm EST for me so I believe that is the standard. :3

I think it resets at midnight eastern time.

My only reasoning behind this is my deckcycles usually refresh at 9 PM and I'm in Pacific Time.

Just to clarify, midnight eastern time is 12am not 12pm.
