Getting any Magic related presents?

My house celebrates Christmas but I know that not everybody does.

Are you getting any Magic-related presents at this time of the year?

I have the Planeschase Anthology heading my way, and a Purple Leatherette deck box with a Force of Will pattern on it.

Planechase Anthology for my cube, last of the sleeves for my cube, some tabletop miniatures which double as tokens for my cube, Aplaymat to loan to people drafting my cube, some team bags to make packs for my cube...

I might have a problem...

I'm getting some Guru land art prints to hang in my house! I'm excited! I'm pretty sure a Pirate Lab case is also headed my way.

@Argeaux: Could you post a picture of the deck box when you get it. It sounds pretty.

I got myself a box of eternal masters to draft with friends on the 23rd. I hope to open a foil wasteland so I have 4 different artworks to fuck with the local legacy-elite. Kappa.
Other than that I bought my girlfriend a deck on mtg for her to play and my mom a pair of earrings. They look like a mox pearl, so I think that counts.

"Mom your earrings are broken"

"Oh no!"

"I'm sorry but you can't play with 2 copies, they're restricted"

"Are you talking about that basement game again?"

"Maybe..."

Simon_Williamson I have special life dice, boxes, d6s, and a dice bag for my Cube.

The minatures sound like a cool idea. How do you indicate P/T on them?

DarksteelBadger I have a Pirate Lab case and I absolutely love it. I got the smaller size and used Velcro straps to attach a playmat tube to the handle. That way I can carry my mat without having to fold it.

I normally just remember it although I'm going to try to paint it on the base with these.

I'm getting a $50 budget to buy singles, and I'm not sure which cards I should get. Some options include: my 4th Blood Moon + small stuff, 3x Nahiri, the Harbinger, 4x Entomb or Reanimate, or 2x Wasteland. I'm leaning towards Blood Moon, but I'm hesitant since I know MM17 is coming out in a few months. The safe pick is the Nahiris, since they won't be reprinted soon and I can have a workable Sun&Moon deck once I get them, although with only 3 Blood Moons. I don't play much legacy, but the other options would be nice to pick up while they're lower-priced due to more EMA being opened. It's a tough choice.

My fiance usually tosses a few booster packs in my stocking. Last year she got me a hard-case for my favorite edh deck

I'm getting about $100 budget to work on finishing my modern Grixis Delver deck $100 probably isn't enough, but it'll get me enough pieces that it'll be playable. The rest of everything I get is saving up so Aether Revolt can take my money though lol

Last year my family did a crack-a-pack Advent calendar using a bunch of old packs (on the off-chance you're interested, we chronicled the openings over on this thread: Best. Advent Calendar. Evar.).

It went over so well, we decided to make it a tradition, so I saved up this year, and blew everyone's mind with a Modern Masters box for the Even Moar Best. Advent Calendar. Evar.

Big shout-out to Cardboard Crack for the original idea:

I will know Christmas morning when I go over to my parents house if I have any MTG related presents. My sister might have shipped something over, and I REALLY hope I got Planechase Anthology from my parents. We shall see...

Reaxetion you could always ask The Boss for Planeschase Anthology.

I know that you two have a special relationship.

Lol xD The Omnipotent One probably has better things to deal with than a Christmas gift to a loyal follower. xD

But thank you lol.

Based on the shape of one of my presents, I know for sure I'm getting a Commander 2016 deck (Likely Stalwart Unity, as that's what I asked for) and I may be getting Planechase Anthology, based on the size of another one, though that one is in an Amazon-wrapped bag, so that's less clear, but iirc it's the only thing on my list of that size.

Of course despite knowing what they are I'm still going to be very excited, and in the case of the Anthology, somewhat surprised, as I doubted I'd actually get it from the gifter, given the price tag.

Zaueski let me put it to you this way.

If the Crow blocks the Construct, who is gonna win?

If the Scrawny Bird flies over the Beefy Clockwork Puppy, how much more damage will the Bad Arsed Avenger do in retaliation next go?

You can't argue with the maths.

Plus, as has already been pointed out, Scrying beats Flying.

I really splurged and spent $5 on MTGO (well, on MTGOTraders.com, that is) last night to get most of the cards for an EDH deck on there. I might spend $5 more tonight! That's my present to myself.

Wow I guess he really is The Real Deal if he can beat God... The Almighty Bird presents a 23 turn clock... Whereas the Bad Ass Metal Killer presents a 13 turn clock... Wow guess the math really doesn't lie.
