How long do you think it will be until one or two decks dominate Frontier?

How long do you think it will be before we all need to buy play sets of Cow Bully, CoCo and the Lime Fetch to stay competitive in Frontier?
I know the format will evolve, but will anything ever be able to match the power of these cards?
I think that the format is really not that diverse, well at least its no more diverse than modern, but it is more diverse than standard. There will definitely always be cards that push rhino and coco out of standard. Fetches will probably never be not used because people want to play their 4 color good stuff decks (aka most the format from what I have seen). I dont think the format will be taken over by 2 decks for a bit but as time goes on I do think that it will be.

Having a look here Frontier Metagame it already looks as though decks that dominated Standard in their time will also dominate Frontier, with a few tweaks.
Oh, and Smuggler's Copter already seems to be in most of the decks.

Looter Scooter is the best card ever. "Tap target creature: Deal 3 damage to target opponent. Draw a card, discard a card".
How could you not love that?

Three FLYING damage.
Only thing is we just got away from a format dominated by Smuggler's Copter.
Don't really want to head back into another one.

But it's so cheap now. A playset costs the same as a single one 3 weeks ago.

Well, it is not really a 2 deck format but the format is quite stale due to access to fetchlands and Zendikar lands. Having perfect means anything is possible, you get 0 penalty for playing a 4-color deck. I would consider playing the format if fetches were banned.

How is mana perfection a bad thing? Doesn't it allow you to play anything you want?

Well magic cards cost money, that's how it is. This is not meant as a real budget format, so I wouldn't concider this a downside. Beyond that: You still have painlands, fastlands and everything in between to help you out.

The fact that perfect mana exists, means you can play any 4-color goodstuff and not be punished 4 it. It means that there 0 need to go for a monocolored deck or even a two colored deck. The only 2 color in the meta link above is atarka red, but you can easily splash say Sram's Expertise in there if you feel the need to.
Perfect mana means that there is a sharper cut in the card quality - color requirements are lessened. Since you can play anything, that means you will play the best cards for your strategy. So, the tier 1 meta will be the best aggro deck, the best control deck and the best combo deck.
At the moment, Atarka Red, Rally COmbo and Dark Jeskai are dominating the meta.
Magic designers say that restrictions breed creativity. Playing whatever is best at all the time is the opposite of that.

Diversity argument aside...
To answer your question StuBi, Frontier will probably be mostly varied goodstuff decks as long as it remains a casual format. There isn't really a need break the format so nobody has done so.

EpicFreddi, yes, perfect mana does mean you can play anything you want. It means everybody can play anything they want, which leads to people figuring out what the best combination(s) of "everything you want" are, homogenizing the format tremendously. This hasn't happened yet, but it didn't exactly happen to Modern immediately either.
While I appreciate the idea of the freedom to choose what you do and don't want to use, the very concept of color in MTG segregates deck types in order to promote diversity. Perfect mana bases ruin this almost completely.

The format will be relatively diverse until WotC officially incentivizes high level players to figure the format out. When Reid Duke and Gerry Thompson sit down to figure out the format we will quickly find out which decks are the best. The best thing for Frontier's diversity and brewers paradise feel is to stay shop run. Once a banlist is put in place and the best deck builders in the game start to solve it that won't be the case.
Also, when WotC officially supports it card prices will skyrocket and it won't be the budget format it is right now either.

I can Aetherworks Marvel into Ugin, the Spirit Dragon T4 if I want, you can leave your Rhinos at home.
Seriously, I think the format is so diverse that I don't think it will be just 2 decks. There will be like 6 T1 decks and a buttload of T2.
