I can't believe I'm having an argument about the term "mono color"

seriously. so, the argument is on the deck Mono Green...STORM!!! in which I claim that because it contains MANY cards that are not green, it cannot be mono green, to which AT23 says that because his land can only produce green mana, it is mono green.
so, whose side are you guys on? I know this doesn't really matter, but it's really bothering me thinking that I might be the only one who's thinking like this.
and might I add, lets also open this up to phyrexian mana (
) discussion and such, along with other things of the sort.
Technically speaking, you're correct. A monocolored card must include only 1 color; colorless objects aren't monocolored. Ergo, a monocolor deck can produce different colors of mana, but all cards must be that one specific color.
This is, of course, extrapolating from the rules, so we aren't exactly working with hard science here.
EDIT: Also, he changed the hubs and description. Might want to calm down a little bit, and I wouldn't exactly call your argument an "argument." Please don't be antagonistic.

a general rule i go by (pun intended) is could all these cards go in an EDH deck with a mono-green commander? in this case no, so its not mono green.
that said I'm surprised people don't see the irony of four complaint comments in a row complaining that someone took the time to make this a thread when they all took about the same amount of time to make a "is this a thread" comment despite there already being multiple.
its a forum, and he was seeking advice. not every thread has to be "help me with my deck" or "discuss the spoilers/banlist/meta".

Maybe next time don't ruin someone's deck discussion because you want to nitpick over a technicality, and don't take it to the forums after you don't get anywhere with it.

This is a Temur colored deck, what color your lands tap for doesn't matter. Having Mana Confluence in your 3 color deck doesn't turn it into a five color deck.
